MERCIER Bamboo Butter Dish with Stainless Steel Lid

I bought this to place butter curls in it for a special dinner. Although it served its purpose, it didn't hold many curls and they tended to stick to the lid as the dish is very shallow. It is not suitable for everyday use where I wanted to place a 500g pack of butter in it. The only ay to do this is to half the butter lengthwise. Otherwise it is very attractive on the table, easy to clean and is sturdy.

The product is good quality & of a simple, minimalistic design. The stainless steel casing is good in ensuring good hygiene, whilst still being interesting, modern and sleek. The bamboo dish base is my favourite aspect.It would be 5 stars, but it seems a little too lightweight. Other than that though, a good quality product that gives you exactly what it says on the tin whilst still being interesting in design.

This looks very nice in my kitchen but I would have thought that a standard block of butter would fit under it, this is not the case, the lid does not cover until some butter has been removed. What a silly design!

This item looks lovely but you can't put a complete pack of butter because is too big to fit underneath the lid. I had to cut the packet butter to a size tgat fits in and still having issues of bitters till getting stuck on the lid. And the base moves.

Holds all butter brands that we usually buy! I was worried about buying this product after reading some reviews about not accommodating a standard pack of butter but we bought 5 different brands, including British, Belgium and Portuguese and for my surprise fitted all them. Good quality, easy to clean, and beautiful design. I recommend.

Really simple but elegant product, I really like the bamboo and stainless steel look. Fits in well in my kitchen. It has a good fitting around the edges,Negative would be it just needs to be slightly taller as I struggle to fit a new block in without having to push down and spreading it across. A little hard when it's a new butter!

We're vegan, so wanted a dish for our plant based butter. Looks gorgeous, does the job well.
