Geonfino - A Modern Upgrade
Alright, so I've been using this Gionfino Smart Door Lock for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, it's pretty cool. I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical at first. But now I'm sold. The setup was pretty straightforward. I followed the instructions, and it was done in no time. But there is an instructional video if you need a little extra help. The coolest part is that you can unlock it with your fingerprint, a code, a keycard, or even your phone and the app is easy to use. You can see who's coming and going by revieing the activity. It's a great way to keep an eye on things, especially when you're not home. I really like that it has a handle as well. There is a low battery warning light but just in case you miss it, the lock has a USB-A emergency charging port, allowing you to recharge the battery quickly.Overall, I'm really happy with this smart lock. It's definitely a step up from a traditional deadbolt. If you're looking for a way to add a little extra security and convenience to your home, I recommend checking it out.

Smart Security
I installed this lock about 2 months ago and so far it's great This lock's keyless entry means you never have to fumble for keys again. The fingerprint feature works well allowing for quick access, and I love the auto-lock function that ensures I never leave the door unlocked.

Sturdy, easy to install (excellent instructions)
This is a rather heavy product that is well built and sturdy. It's not the most pleasing to look at because of it's bulk, but it is excellent in all other respects. I have to say that in general, all of these types of products are somewhat bulky due to their nature, so this is not a critique of this particular product. The instructions are excellent, and the labeling of the different parts (see photos) makes installation even more straightforward. The installation manual is thorough and well laid out.It took be between 30-45 minutes to install. The only trouble I had after installation is that the unlocking mechanism would not engage, but then I realized that I had tucked the cable into the cylindrical cavity of the door which impeded the proper turning/operation of the door. Having quickly fixed that, it operates flawlessly. There are many things I like about this door lock:- the availability of fingerprints, FOB (NFC - Near Field Communication) devices, and passcodes make using this lock very easy and convenient.- the App is easy enough to use and there are many passcode-related features: one-time passcodes; timed passcodes; recurring passcodes, permanent passcodes, etc.- previous electronic locks I've used have caused problems when the battery runs out, making access to the inside of the house where you can change the batteries impossible. This lock has an emergency power feature where you can temporarily provide power with a micro-USB cable.- the physical key hole on the outside of the lock is hidden with a little snap-in plate, so it looks nicer, and it also hides the fact that keyed entry is possible.A few other notes:- it takes 4 AA batteries, which were not included- there are additional pay-for features in the App which are ridiculously priced.- since the lock uses Bluetooth to communicate with the phone App, you need to be within a couple of meters of the lock to unlock it with the App.- there are no WiFi related features. For that you need to add some sort of Gateway. An additional purchase, which I have not pursued.

The measurement is not correct
I really wanted this to work, I did. I followed the first step which is to check all the measurements. My door face had a 2 3/8 (60 mm) measurement, I believe that’s the inset? And the door edge was between 1 3/8-2 inches (35-50mm) at the halfway point. It was 45 mm to be exact. Then the opening for the lock itself to go into the door is supposed to be 2 1/8 inches, and it is…but something isn’t right with the part you insert into the door then. I tried to get it into the door and it was too tight of a fit. I had my husband and daughter try it too. None of us could get it. I’m not sure why because the opening there is 2 inches across. We tried sandpaper to enlarge the opening, but that did not work. I tried using a dremel to enlarge the hole and that didn’t work. I gave up and put the old door knob back but because I had sanded and dremeled, it didn’t fit right. Thanks for ruining my front door.
