10/10 would buy again!
My husband bought this net last week after seeing hundreds of outstanding reviews and an Amazon "Best Seller" tag. We were a little reluctant at first, to buy a piece of equipment online without seeing it in person and/or trying it out. We trusted the many positive reviews and we sure are glad we did. This net is of great quality and is considerably cheaper than it's orange alternative (the Bow Net). The set up is sooo easy, that our 11 year old son can do it by himself in less than 5 minutes. The only part he needs help on is securing the top of the net to the fiberglass poles, because they are 7' tall and he is barely 5'. The base is made of very strong steel and snaps together very easily. The side poles are made of a thick fiberglass, similar to tent poles but probably twice the thickness, and are very, very sturdy. The biggest difference is in the net itself. All of the net on the Rukket model is a thick net, similar to the ones seen on a high school or college "L Screen". The Bow Net's "target zone" net is the same as the Rukket, but the net on outer area is a lot thinner. My 11-year old son and 6-year old daughter use this thing everyday, and my husband has even taken quite a few whacks against it (trying to re-live his "glory days", ya know?). It stays upright without the stakes, even when he hits into it. Everything packs into a nice, convenient bag for transport, and is not too heavy.Overall, this is the best net that you can get and the price cannot be beat. Buy it on Prime and it shows up in 2 days. Then it's time to Play Ball!!I will add a video of him hitting into it, when I get a chance.

BUY THIS ONE !!!! This is the best there is !!!
This is a FANTASTIC practice net. It is truly of QUALITY CONSTRUCTION. I was impressed with the heavy gauge of the metal frame, much sturdier than I was expecting. It comes with anchor u-bolts, but I expect they would never be necessary as the frame is heavy enough as it is. I do not see a situation where the net would fall under normal use. Bought this so my 10 year old grandson could hone his baseball batting skills. He loves it, and said he could already tell it was helping improve his skill. We have been mainly using it for soft pitch practice, but could also be used with a batting tee.The design is perfect. The net pocket catches and captures any hit balls that would normally be playable on the field. If they miss the pocket, the net stops them also, and we consider that as an imperfect hit. The 7 ft by 7 ft size is more than adequate. I would suggest this size over any of the 5 ft ones that others sell. The carrying bag is sturdy material also.We will also use this net for pitching practice. We will weave a red ribbon through the pocket net to form a square target zone. Others sell an optional target, but I don't see that as a necessary expense.BUY THIS PRODUCT !!!!!! I absolutely did not expect to see such great quality and design as what this net offers. The netting itself is very heavy, and I expect will endure well for years to come if left out of the weather. The fiberglass vertical rods are of exceptional diameter and quality. Assembly is extremely simple, with spring loaded ball pins to connect the sections of the metal frame. My grandson can easily put it together, but just needs help reaching the upper net attachment point. We use his dad for that, but a chair would also work.THIS IS A BEST BUY !!!! Don't hesitate to buy this one, you can't do any better than this. And, the manufacturer will communicate with you expressing their appreciation of your purchase. I have never had this kind of personable interchange. They want to make sure you are satisfied with their products. BUY, BUY, BUY this one! Don't consider any of the others out there.

Difficult to impress baseball dad extremely impressed.
I was skeptical and concerned that this would not be a good product compared to the Bownet, but am happy to say that so far I am very pleased with my purchase as I did not compromise on quality or performance at all. The out of the box quality seems great. Set up is easy, and really don't need instructions at all, but those provided gave nice pictures. I bought this for 14 yo son, and 12 yo daughter, mostly to pitch into, but will do some soft toss and tee work. In particular son wants to use to get his work in (throwing) on his own after school, without needing a parent to catch. I originally planned to leave this permanently set up outside, but it is so easy to set up, take down, and pack into the storage bag, that so far have gone that route. We have only used twice at this point, and for throwing only, but so far it has worked great and exactly what we needed. This is a great size, and for backing away and doing long toss, this 7'x7' size seems better and prevents an overthrow. It is very solid to throw into and we have not needed to use the anchors yet. I have coached baseball or softball for the last 10 years, which usually included spring regular season, all-stars in summer, and fall, having owned spring-hoop pop-up net by Easton, and using similar nets to this one (5'x5' net by SKLZ but without "sock" center). used more nets that I can't remember brand. This one is definitely easier to take down, and I think this one will last longer. Again, great quality and function. I believe that the metal base will be fine on quality, as will the poles. The net feels like other nets I've used. Time and use will tell on durability, but so far I am very pleased with my purchase and the money that I saved, but still got a great product. I wish I had come across this sooner. I will recommend this to other dads and coaching friends.
