Works great!
This fume extractor works great to remove solder fumes when working on stained glass. I have also used it when working with other materials that emit offensive or harmful fumes. I don't have the option to vent to the outside at my worktable; this unit solved the issue with fumes. It is compact so does not take up much space on my work table. Very pleased with this purchase.

It is expained well
I do paint art in a room in my house. I was very suprised that the Fume Extractor took up the fumes so much. I would recomend this product if you work in a very small area

Works if you get it close enough to what you're doing
The first issue I had with this item is that nowhere on it is it marked "Made in China" even though the box is marked. I just got finished perusing the FTC's regs on that for my own work and I'm pretty sure that's illegal for sale in the U.S.I plugged it in and conducted a test. I lit incense so that I could watch the path of the smoke. In order for this fan to pull the smoke, I had to (a) turn off all other airflow within a 15-foot perimeter AND close the window on a dead-still day; (b) move the fan to less than nine inches from the stick of incense; and (c) tilt the fan upward toward the ceiling, which was counter-intuitive to me. Of course, the closer you bring the fan to your work, the more you can face it forward vs. upward. But I can say that there was no hint of smoke coming out the back of the unit, so I felt confident it was pulling those particles out of the air.Not sure how valid this test was for my actual use -- soldering silver -- but I feel confident this fan will do the trick; just have to keep it right on top of my work, which the short cord makes a little tricky to do.

Fan died hours into use. Sturdy frame though.
This is not a bad fume extractor for the price overall....However, the fan died in just a couple hours. Gone... Nothing. I replaced the original super cheap quality fan with an AC Infinity AXIAL 1238 and now this is a MUCH better unit. The airflow is excellent with the new fan, it grabs fumes that are not within inches like the original fan required making the airflow almost useless. I can solder comfortably while this unit is several inches away and the fumes are drawn in well. After inspection of the original fan I am not sure the thing is even rated for 120v power, no specs on the motor and it's so lightweight that I'm surprised the coils didn't catch fire when plugged in. Again, if you buy this the frame is good, the included filter is dense and works well, just plan on replacing the fan if you're soldering for hours when working.

Flexzion Solder Fume Extractor
I am using the fume extractor for soldering silver and copper jewelry. I have a small set up on a mobile cart. The extractor fits right next to my soldering station and works very well.

Works Great
Definitely bigger than I was imagining, but that is a good thing. You definitely need to do your soldering close to the unit. So the size helps. It is quite loud.

Very happy
Very happy with this and works perfectly. it makes a little bit of noise but not enough to be overwhelming distracting. No longer feel like I have a heavy chest after a long soldering session.

Low suction
Suction power is low. I have to keep it really close to my soldering gun
