It works...
Ok, let's be honest, this unit was never intended to satisfy the die hard super accuracy nut job. It however performs very well for it's price and reads within a half thou and repeatability is good. My only concern is batteries. They don't come with the unit.

Perfect for an old, small lathe
I always had to make my lenght with a dial indicator on a magnetic base, now a simple push on the reset button, and i'm good to go! The magnetic feature was a bonus!!
