Works great on 240VAC!
So happy with this product! The previous owner of the house I bought installed an 80 gallon air compressor in a shed in the back yard and had the air piped into the garage across the yard. I didn't want the compressor to be powered up 24/7 in this Texas weather (especially since some of the fittings aren't air tight, which would cause the compressor to switch on and off regularly), so every time I wanted to use it, I'd have to go across the back yard to turn it on. The breaker that controls it is across the house and feeds other electronics in another shed as well, so using that wasn't an option either.I bought this remote switch to switch on/off a high-current 240VAC relay which would power on/off the compressor (I know this is a high capacity remote switch, but it still isn't enough to run that large compressor, so I had to use an additional 30A relay). When I bought it (this remote switch), I was expecting to power it using 1/2 of the 240V feed going into that shed. I didn't realize that the feed only included the two hot legs and a ground, but no neutral from the breaker panel. Therefore, I couldn't power anything where the compressor is with 120VAC unless I wanted to do something stupid and dangerous, like using the ground as a neutral. No way I was going to do that.I got disappointed pretty quickly, thinking I wouldn't be able to use this remote control, but then looked at the case and saw that it works with up to 265VAC! I was really happy. Got it all wired up and it works flawlessly. I even added a 240V solenoid valve which is also controlled in parallel with this remote control switch to cut the piping going underground from the shed to my garage off from the compressed tank. That way, when I switch the compressor off remotely, I can run the air out of the lines so they don't stay compressed. My garage is about 50 feet away from the shed with the compressor. The remote control easily reaches that distance wirelessly with no problems at all. It switches the whole system on and off with one quick button press. So happy I bought this!

not recommended
This device is not recommended if you need to use it for a long range like I needed. For small ranges I thing it could be good.

REMOTE CONTROL FOR OUR CARPORT LIGHTING!
I recently installed 4, 4-foot, all-weather LED lights on the ceiling of our screened patio, and extending to our open carport. The lights work wonderfully, but turning them on and off from inside a locked shed was not at all convenient!I found the TOVEENEN wireless system via a search on Amazon. I liked that the control unit was small enough to fit inside one of the light unit's housing, plus that tere were two convenient remotes.Following the straitforward instructions which came with the unit, I turned off the power to the lights from the shed, opened the first light, cut the "hot" and neutral power wires, and quickly wired in the switch module to the 4 ends of the 2 wires just cut, I then turned on the switch from the shed, and tried both remotes before sealingup the light unit. Perfect! Light sealed up again, and done!By the way... I am not a professional, but have done many similar DIY jobs over the years. If you have any doubts about how to do this, or which wire is which, then I STRONGLY suggest you hire a professional or knowledgable friend to wire this into your situation. It shouldn't take them very long.We now have a a remote control transmitter in the house, and one in the car. Thank you TOVEENEN for a product well done!

GREAT product
I had an electrician put it in the wall and a blank cover over it. My attic fan and switch is on the second floor. At night when I want to shut my fan off in the middle of the night I would have to climb the stairs 1/2 awake. Not a good thing to do. I ordered 2 remotes which 1 keep on the nightstand. It is wonderful. I have my fan set on medium since I usually have it on that speed and there is no way to change the speed from the remote. I feel it is a lifesaver and plenty of power and quiet effortless on and off now. I love it and will consider ordering more in the future.

Works well so far.
I used the remote control so I could turn on outside lights on the barn when I check on the animals after dark. The barn is 250 feet from the house with a number of evergreen trees between the house and the barn. Unit functioned well. I didn't even have to extend the antenna on the transmitter to operate the lights from inside the house. Unit was easy to wire up just by following the schematic enclosed and the terminal posts on the unit were well labelled. Worked so well I purchased a second unit for the lights at the garage. I tried other cheaper units but they didn't have the range.
