Fun book
This was a fun book to read. It was a bit like Clue, but with art forgeries, and museums. Great flow throughout the story.

Great/Easy Read
Such a good book! Saw it on my tiktok fyp and wanted to support a local author. I’m not a huge reader and often struggle to finish books, but this one was great. It reminds me of the movie Knives Out with lots of fun twists and turns!

Best book I've read in a while
The first thing that hit me with this story is the attention to detail. Some might say that it was too much detail but I think it was perfect to really give you the necessary background to understand the artistic inspiration behind it. I am not often surprised but this book had me at the edge of my seat after just the first part. I couldn't put it down after that and finished it very shortly after. I commend the author and am looking forward to what else is in store and hope for more books from him. I first saw him mention he was writing the book back in January 2024 and while it took me longer than I hoped to get around to reading it, it was well worth the read. It gave me some artistic inspiration that makes me want to start some art projects myself. Amazing book.

An Okay Book
This book centers around an eclectic art curator who is seeking "justice" for the murder of his wife that occurred a decade ago. All the suspects (and some red herrings) are called together and locked in the museum to determine who the true culprit is. I loved the premise of this story; there is so much potential in the story. Additionally, how Jaden Payne describes art and fashion in the novel is truly breathtaking and easily one of the best parts of the book. However, overall, I thought that the story fell a bit flat for me. Several events felt pointless to the overall story and the pages could have been dedicated to some of the far more interesting facts that are teased out but never come to fruition. Most of the characters were not compelling and only one character had any kind of growth - most of which is skipped over after a time jump. About halfway through the book, I was able to guess how the story would end which I always find disappointing for a mystery novel. Overall, it is an interesting read in terms of artisticness but not in terms of characters or plot.

Mystery
I love a good thinker and the twist ending had me biting my nails. I cried more than I wanna admit but I’m a sucker for a sad childhood story. Love phoebes character and her relationship with Laurent

Very Knives Out
This book took me a bit of time to get into, but was overall an enjoyable read. Very reminiscent of a Knives Out/Glass Onion style who-done-it.

Wonderful read
As someone who’s been trying to get into reading for so long, i stumbled upon this book on tiktok and wanted to give it a try. When i tell you i could hardly put it down! Somebody else said “Knives out meets clue” and that’s a perfect way to describe it. I was never bored, this book was playing fluidly in my head while going through chapters. Truly my favorite book!I’m love with the characters and the spectacle

Okay
I personally thought it was written like it was thought up as a movie, the pace of the book just feels like ideas stacked on top of each other rather than a solid story. Still readable but just not a satisfying read in my opinion.

Clever, art-filled mystery
I quite enjoyed this mystery novel set in an art museum. The layers of different secrets, twists and turns were enjoyable and it was fun to try and solve the mystery as I went (I guessed some, but not all of the plot twists, so I felt clever enough but not completely bored).
