Beautiful river rocks, smooth and have weight to them. I'm using mine for decor so I can't speak to the paintability of them but they are very smooth so I could see them being a good medium for paint. These rocks fit in the palm of my hand so not super big but still a decent size.

I'm really impressed by the rocks in this set! The rocks are all very uniform in color and are very smooth. They are also great sizes - larger than I was expecting. They are definitely at least the 2.2 to 3.5 inches that the item description states.I ordered these rocks to use for several rock crafts I am going to be doing with friends. Rather than trying to hunt down rocks of this size and shape in the wild, this set is a much better option.The rocks are also very clean. Sure, they have a little bit of dust on them from being in a bag together, but they are not full of dirt or sand. Just a quick rinse and they are ready to use.The rocks could be used as-is in home decor. Fill a wood bowl with the rocks and you have a natural coffee table piece. Because the rocks are flat, they would also make perfect rocks for humidity trays beneath houseplants. And of course, the rocks can be used in crafts - such as rock painting, wire wrapped rocks, air plant holders, picture holders, and more.I am very happy with the quality and size of these rocks - I highly recommend them!

The rocks were very small and unusable for my project! The picture of a rock almost covering two hands is deceitful. They are half that size, IF THAT. And it's too late to order larger rocks for what I needed them for.. Will never buy from this seller again.

Smaller than I thought. Couldn't really fit the designs I wanted. Yellow paint turned green. Needed several coats. I've used better rocks for rock painting.

These stones are exactly what they claim to be. Large 2.5-3.5 inches in diameter/length, with different natural textures from smooth - bumpy, with some dips and bents. These natural river stones vary in shape, and thickness as well. They are great for arts and craft projects. Easy to paint on and fun for everyone.

If you're looking at this, you must at least think your might want a bag of rocks. This is a bag of rocks... just like it says. There are 12 of them, like it says. They're smooth, like it says. And they're 2.2-3.5 inches like it says. (See the second picture with a ruler).They're the kind of rocks that take paint well--especially if you prime them properly, and while you might think that it's easy to find rocks on the ground or by digging in your garden, it would take quite a bit of time to actually co.e up with 12 appropriately sized, round, flat rocks if my experience is anything to go by. That makes this a good way to get rocks for a rock painting activity at a party or as a class project, etc.

These rocks are so fantastic.They are perfect for rock painting.I used them in my art class and my students used acrylic markers to decorate them.They are smooth and the perfect size for rock art.You could also just use them to decorate your garden or flower bed.I recommend these rocks.Just be careful when picking them up from the box - they are heavier than you would think!
