Beautiful, moving - perfect.
Oh I loved this book! It’s set in Hastings - a place that holds many happy memories for me - and I loved revisiting it through Rora’s eyes. A beautiful seaside town so wonderfully described by the author. It’s the tale of Rora & the seaside town she grew up in - of how she left & why she left, why she has come back and who with.Rora is a single Mum who is trying not to let her adolescence affect her parenting of her troubled daughter. She’s the perfect example of a Mum who is juggling everything and not getting anywhere fast. It has a real one day vibe & has a star crossed lovers theme to it too. It’s definitely a story that may require some tissues. It’s such a wonderfully written story and I feel Madeleine is such an underrated author. Definitely a great story for fans of Jojo Moyes, Ali Harris & co. I highly recommend this book and have passed my copy around all of my friends.

I was late for work this morning as a result of Madeleine Reiss's absolutely beautiful book, I couldn't leave the house until I found out how everything turned out. Yes the book is romantic, and I fell in love with the flawed but insanely sexy male protagonist, but it also spoke to me on many different levels. At times when Reiss described her heroine's thoughts and feelings, I felt there were echoes there of my own life. This book is about how we deal with relationships; those with parents, friends, children as well as lovers. Ultimately, how we live, holding on to the beauty in times of darkness. The descriptions are vivid, the characters are richly drawn, the story is compelling. at times this book made me cry, but it was also gloriously positive. I loved the fact that the narrative was structured around a string of kisses, sexy ones, dangerous ones, sad ones, loving ones. There is so much here. if you want a book that is beautifully written, well crafted, moving, sexy and ultimately a celebration of life and love you couldn't do much better Than This Last Kiss.

A blend of romance and sorrow that left my heart aching..
As a working mum of two staying up all night to finish a book is not something I do lightly. I am not great at book reviews but I felt compelled to write about this book. The emotion in this book dissolved my will power and I stayed up all night mid working week and devoured this book. I can not give specifics without spoiling the story for others but just to say that the layers of experiences the main character faced and their impact on her relationships were so credible and so heart wrenching. A blend of romance and sorrow that exhausted my emotions and left my heart aching as if it had lived the life time of experiences all in the one night . Could not recommend it more.

It has all the elements of the best romances including not just one
Once I started reading this book I couldn't stop until I got to the end. It has all the elements of the best romances including not just one, but two sexy heroes, tragedy, redemption and - not surprisingly given the title - loads of steamy snogging. But there's so much more to the book than this. A wonderful setting, original characters, heartbreaking real life situations, images that really stayed in my head. I loved the way the story explores different relationships and different kinds of love. Beautifully written. Five stars.

A brilliant read
Although it took me a while to get into this book it was 100% worth it. The descriptions of Hastings so vivid, the flawed characters so brilliantly drawn it left me quite breathless and I finished it at a gallop. A brilliant read.
