Thick heavy blade takes a few cuts to learn the side-to-side balance but it's unbelievably sharp!
The thick heavy blade has its serrations on the left and tends to drive the blade that way, causing it to veer off to the side as you cut. It took a few cuts to understand that and a few more to get a feel and push the blade out a little when cutting. Then I got cuts going straight down for nice slices.It cuts through my crusty sourdough bread with ease.For the heavy crust on the bottom, I lifted the handle up a bit to just use the more blunt tip and it worked like a charm on that last 1/8", more like breaking through that crust than slicing.My wife says it's too heavy, oh well.

No Quality Assurance process by seller or maker
Disappointing quality. Item arrived from CookingPremiumStore with the first three serrations filed off and a damaged/bent surface. I would expect better QA from the seller and from the manufacturer considering the price. Damage appears to have happened at Gude because the serrations appear filed off. CookingPremiumStore may be selling factory seconds at full retail price.

Solides Handwerk
Das Messer ist ein Geschenk, deshalb kann ich zur Qualität noch nichts sagen. Auf jeden Fall ist es schwer, liegt gut in der Hand und ist sehr scharf. Die Verarbeitung wirkt sehr gut und sorgfältig.Ein wenig enttäuscht war ich von der Verpackung, einfach in Wellpappe eingewickelt. Bei dem Preis hätte ich wenigstens mit einem einfachen Klingenschutz gerechnet.

Hochwertiges Messer, ist sein Geld wert.
Tolles Messer wie beschrieben immer wieder. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Etwas enttäuscht über den mitgelieferte Messerschutz/Schutzhülle. Bei dem Preis sollte etwas mehr Schneidenschutz als eine zu kurze Plastikscheide drin sein. Deshalb ein Stern Abzug.
