Purchased a XXL which is my normal shirt and sweatshirt size as a bigger 6’ tall guy. Fits as expected. Jacket weight while not being very thin or light, is a good weight for cool rainy days of spring or fall.

It isn’t water proof, but it fits me well and is comfortable. I use it as an extra layer for being outside. The material and color make it impossible to use for work or any rough environment.The pockets are nice and it seems to add just enough layer for those days when it is breezy and slightly cool.

I read reviews before purchasing, and will agree don't add alot of weight to the outer Velcro pocket. However, the zippered kangaroo pocket right behind it is excellent.I purchased a small as I have no need to layer.The small is difficult to get on if the zipper is all the way up, but I don't mind at all.I have shorter arms so the inner liner bunches at my wrists. Again, I don't mind.I absolutely love wearing it and it goes everywhere with me.It can. I live in the south, so when it rains the mugginess will make you sweat if wearing the jacket in summer.It's perfect for what I need and wanted, and rain doesn't get through like my other water resistant jackets.The rain defender on this plus the material are fine in downpours for me as well. I have the rain defender hoodies, and this is different.I absolutely recommend this jacket.

Carhartt never disappoints. Durable and warm. I love that it packs down into a pouch for easy travel. Definitely worth it.

I purchased this jacket for a trip, where I knew it might be raining. The jacket is comfortable and lightweight, but I sure did get wet. I like the way the jacket looks and fits but the water does not bead up and off. Just not what I expected from Carhartt at all.

Wore during recent travel. The kangaroo pouch is fantastic for holding passports and boarding passes as you are navigating through the airport, security & while boarding. Comfortable, packs up nicely into itself, small & compact. Held up well in rain, we stayed dry & warm.
