I decided to buy this composter after seeing it in my friend’s house and being really impressed with how compact and convenient it was. After using it for couple a days, I’m genuinely pleased with the purchase. It fits perfectly on my countertop, and the grey colour matches my kitchen units so well that it almost looks like it was made to be part of the set. The machine itself is easy to use, surprisingly quiet, and does a great job breaking down food scraps. I’ve noticed a big reduction in the amount of waste going into my bin, and there’s no unpleasant smell at all. The cleaning mode is also a nice bonus and keeps everything fresh without much effort from me. Overall, it’s been a great addition to my kitchen — practical, tidy, and stylish. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone considering a home composter.

Worked ok for a bit although smelly, so didn’t use it much - and stopped working a month after the return date expired, best I can tell it seems there it is not a way to get it fixed, Amazon is not helpful at all. Put compositing result on one of my indoor plants and it killed it. Don’t think we will bother with a replacement.

This is actually brilliant. A very good capacity and a machine that does all the work for you while maintaining hygiene and feshness. Couldn't be easier to use. It's good to go straight from the box and does an ace job. The seals are very good and there is absolutely no odour thanks to the filter included. Keeps the kitchen smell free and actuallyooks really nice at the same time. It works really quietly too. Just automaticay churns away doing the job for you. Excellent.

I tried to make pre-compost from coffee grounds, breadcrumbs, and a small amount of fish. For the first hour, the unit exuded a smell of roasting breadcrumbs. I went away for a couple of hours. When I came back, the entire house was stinking of rotten fish. Every single room. The filter was new of course, and I removed the labels and followed all instructions. The rubber seals were present and intact. Despite that, the filter clearly didn't work. I ended up with nausea, a headache, and a running nose. The instruction manual claims fish is appropriate for the composter. It wasn't salmon, or smoked haddock, or pilchards or anything like that. It was cod. And it was a forkful. Less than a tablespoon. And it was only a few hours old at the time. I have ovened and air fried entire fillets of cod hundreds of times in my life. I've even burnt fish in the oven, and I've still never smelt something as horrible as what this supposedly filtered composter produced. The instruction manual claims that it has an ozone generator. The unit I received either doesn't have one or it's faulty. I had to use my industrial ozone generator to remove the fish stink, treating one room of the house at a time. The filter change light switched on immediately after the first and only time I used it, instead of in 6 months. The filter light reset function fails to work, so there's at least one electronic fault. If the instruction manual didn't lie about the ozone generator, there are at least two distinct electronic faults. After using it once, the filter stinks of rotten fish.

Leaks water out the bottom without it going into the water collection reservoir. Food residue is wet, not at all like the dry coffee grounds, unless you put it through a cycle twice. I thought this would be the answer to food waste, but I'm not impressed. Also has a strong smell while in operation

I recently bought the NutriChef 3L Kitchen Composter, and I’m really happy with it so far. The delivery was super quick, which was a nice start, and setting it up was a breeze—just open it up, pop in your food scraps, and let it do the rest. One of my favourite things is how good it looks on my kitchen counter. It doesn’t take up much space, and it blends nicely with my other appliances. I also love that it helps cut down on waste, and the charcoal filter seems to do a great job at keeping smells under control. Cleaning it is really simple too; just rinse the bucket when it’s time to empty it. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this composter if you want a fuss-free way to deal with food scraps and help the environment at the same time. It’s stylish, efficient, and super easy to use—all the things I was hoping for!

Edit: I spoke too soon! It stopped working about 4 weeks later. The machine stopped heating up so basically created a mulch that was horrid. Returned and refunded by Amazon. Have reordered again. Will try with this again as the machine is good and the concept is great and the compost is easily distributed Having had this a month or so now I can highly recommend it. Pros- no more smelly bin attracting vermin and maggots while you wait for the collections. It breaks the food down to about 20% of the original size. Powdery dust that can be tipped directly onto the soil in the garden Smell: yes it can smell whilst it goes through its cycle but it’s no worse than a lingering cooking smell. Fortunately I’ve got mine in the covered seating area of my my garden so it gets turned on before bedtime and is finished when I wake up. No smell!

I bought this composter three months ago and followed all the instructions to the letter. Only added the correct food as per the manual, chopped it up into little pieces and cleaner regularly. I was so happy with it until it just stopped spinning and grinding the compost. So now it will dehydrate stuff but not break it down at all. Once you purchase there is no way to contact the seller for a replacement and I wish I'd read the reviews more thoroughly before purchasing as multiple other people have had this exact same issue. Purchase from a seller with a sign posted warranty and make sure you can contact them if anything goes wrong otherwise you're literally throwing away money. I'm so disappointed in this, worst purchase of 2025.

Top molto utile ed efficace, lo consiglio per compostaggio.

Reading through all the other reviews, I get the impression all 4 and 5-star reviews are from recent purchases. Whereas the 1-star reviews are all from people who've used the Composter over a longer period. After about 3 months, the heater in my composter died. With the lovely result that it now only produces a slimey soup. Which is useless for composting. And looks disgusting. NutriChef support is nonexistent. Amazon replied to one email and then stopped. There appears to be no way for me to return what is now a device that only makes disgusting soup. I don't need a device for that; I can do that on my own.

Wir haben den Komposter in unserer Ferienwohnung im Ausland stehen. Da hier ziemlich hohe Temperaturen hin den Sommermonaten herrschen und wir keine Nager durch einen im Garten aufgestellten Komposter anlocken wollen, haben wir uns für diesen elektronischen Komposter entschieden. Am Anfang waren wir sehr gespannt was das Gerät für Kompolst erzeugen wird. Nun sind wir sehr zufrieden, kein sinnloses Wegwerfen mehr von organischen Abfällen mehr. DIESE Abfälle hatten extrem gestunken und diese ekeligen Maden, endlich Schuss damit. Die Kompostierreste sind grobfaserig, aber lassen sich super auf den Blumen verteilen. Unsere Blumenkasten genießen die Mineralien die sie mit dem Kompost bekommen, es blüht und gedeiht hervorragend. Der Komposter ist etwas brummend, und er entwickelt Hitze beim Verarbeiten, darum haben wir ihn auf dem Balkon gestellt. Innerhalb von ca 2 h ist fertig verarbeitet und die Erde kann verteilt werden. Leicht zu reinigen, vethaltnismässig wenig Stromverbrauch.

I am amazed by this compost machine, it's capacity and the results. This is a wonderful alternative if you need to have less garbage and it fits pretty much all the waste from one day. There are many food items that can be handled in the bin - from fruits to coffee grinds to many, many other items. There is no noise with this machine and it only takes few hours to transform all your waste into perfect, ready to use flower and garden compost. The size is perfect for small spaces and also its look is very modern making it a perfect addition to our kitchen. The instruction book is easy to follow and there is nothing major to assemble. The materials are sturdy and dishwasher safe. Definitely a great and affordable solution.

Estoy encantado con este compostador eléctrico NutriChef. Me parece una auténtica maravilla para una cocina doméstica: compacto, cómodo de usar y muy práctico para quienes queremos reducir la basura orgánica sin depender de tener jardín o compostera exterior. Lo que más valoro es que transforma los restos de comida en un material seco y mucho más fácil de manejar, evitando olores desagradables y la acumulación típica de residuos orgánicos en el cubo. En mi caso, ha cambiado bastante la rutina diaria: restos de fruta, verdura, posos de café o cáscaras dejan de ser “basura” y pasan a tener una segunda vida para plantas o huerto urbano. También me gusta que tenga funciones de secado, trituración y enfriamiento, porque el proceso resulta muy sencillo y limpio. No hace falta complicarse: se carga, se pone en marcha y el aparato hace su trabajo. Para cocinas pequeñas o pisos me parece especialmente útil, porque ocupa poco y ayuda a mantener la zona de residuos mucho más ordenada. Un producto muy recomendable para quien quiera dar un paso realista hacia una gestión más sostenible de los residuos en casa. No sustituye a un compostaje tradicional a gran escala, pero para el día a día doméstico es una solución comodísima, higiénica y muy bien pensada. Lo volvería a comprar sin duda.
