Here is the deal: you buy this new edition (revised by Zedda), ore expensive than the reprints from Dover (they have both the complete opera and the overture together with other Rossini scores), and you might expect a much better book: first it is just a photocopy on white paper (when using it under bright lights it is difficult to read), and it does not stay flat on the music stand or table.Remember that this is the most updated edition by Ricordi, and there are many differences with other editions (for example, there is no timpani part in bar 21 of the Sinfonia). If you are going to conduct this piece you better have the new (and surely very expensive-to-rent) latest parts from Ricordi.

A newer edition than the Dover score, but the glued binding is very tight and the book doesn't open flat. Too small to conduct from, but an OK reference.

I had mistakenly purchased the Dover a few weeks before, but was pointed towards this Zedda edition. There are so many text/note/instrumentation differences in so many scores, so it's nice to have a reliable edition that is not Bärenreiter expensive.
