Good value but hard to install
This item appears to be well made with a good catch to attach to the towing vehicle. However, in common with some other comments, it was quite hard to close the “hook end” to the the trailer. I used the jaws of a small vice to close the hook. If it has to be removed I suspect I will use an angle grinder to cut it off.

Do not buy
Bought this to replace on caravan came with a spring clip not carabiner clip, checked on line to make sure it could be used as due out in a couple of day's, the problem is with the hook that goes through the handbrake assembly is so hard i could not sqeeze it up even tried with a bench vice to start it with. After watching several You Tube videos all said mole grips would do, not a chance.

fitting
not the easiest to fit

Received quickly with prime
Needed a replacement fast when my breakaway cable was damaged in a hitching mishap. It arrived next day. This was a bit fiddly to fit as you have to close the hook on the end with molegrips after fitting and will be just as fiddly if you have to remove it. But it will do the job.

A quality product assuring a safe connection to your vehicle.
Quality replacement breakaway cable fitted with a carabiner that can be used to hook directly onto the tow bar rather than just looping around the towball and then back on itself, connecting to the cable. The carabiner method of connection means that the breakaway cable cannot bounce off the towbar if the caravan becomes disconnected.
