Good vibrations!
I have a York brand heat pump. My opinion of the York brand is one notch above used toilet paper. Nevertheless, my heat pump was loud, rattling, ugly, and annoying. Other than those small items it’s great. On to the isolation vibration pads. A solid 5 stars. They are exactly what I needed. They really helped quiet down the noise and vibrations. If you have a large appliance that is noisy from humming, vibrations, these are the bomb. They are very well designed and work great. Others have complained about the smell. It’s an industrial smell. The AC unit is outside, so it’s not noticeable to me at all. Get your set today!

Worked great for a noisy outdoor AC compressor/condenser unit
I've struggled through sleepless nights because of a noisy AC compressor just outside of my bedroom. I either turned the AC off and got hot during the summer or left it on and was awoken by the loud rattling sound whenever the AC kicked on. The AC is fully functional and cools well, and I didn't really want to pay thousands to replace something that works. But, after I broke down and got a quote for a new AC, I finally got motivated to try to figure out what was really going on with this noise. I thought it was a problem inside the old compressor itself (built in 1992), but when I saw these pads, I figured I'd try to at least isolate some of the sound. After installing the pads, initially the noise changed but didn't go away. It was still loud, but in a different way. I then tightened all of the bolts around the AC unit case, and the noise changed slightly again. Finally, I leaned on the top of the AC unit and miraculously, the noise stopped. I figured out that I could put a brick on that top corner, adding more weight down onto the rubber pad, isolating the noise. I'd tried this sort of thing before without the pads, and it didn't work. So, ultimately, fixing this noise was a combination of the isolating pads and a bit of work tightening bolts and pushing on the unit. The moral of the story is that these pads may help you, but don't give up if your noise doesn't immediately go away.

Good quality, but yes - it stinks
Just like all the other reviews say - these things stink. A LOT. Don't use them in an enclosed area that you can smell. I used them outside to put under my A/C condensers. It seems to make a pretty significant difference in noise. Before, you could feel my A/C vibrating the wall on the side of my house and it was super annoying especially when trying to sleep. It definitely isolates and dampens the noise quite a bit. Don't buy it expecting to make your unit silent, but it will make a difference especially if you have an older A/C unit that's prone to vibration. But be advised - it does smell pretty bad, I'm sure it's just part of the manufacturing process. It smells like car tires to me.

The most return for a the smallest cost and effort for HVAC unit sound reduction.
Every HVAC tech/installer should carry these with them. Put them under the unit in the corners, and the sound dampening is immediate. The sheet metal vibrates less, and the concrete pad is no longer used as an amplifier. Compressor units today are assembled metal to metal with no vibration dampening or isolation. Use these where the factory should have installed rubber feet under each corner. Went from avg 120db to avg 85 db.

Works well for my washer
I've had these for 7 months. I use them under a Whirlpool front load washing machine, which is on a whirlpool pedestal with a drawer. My washer and dryer are in my attached garage. From the time we got the washer, it traveled until it contacted the dryer (about 6 inches away) where it stayed put. I wanted to store an item between the two and the "impressive" vibration of the washer wouldn't allow storage of ANYTHING on top of the washer. I had used a level several times to adjust the "feet" on the pedestal, but the travel continued. I had read about the smell of these pads, but with my appliances in the garage, I wasn't concerned. Shipping was prompt and when they arrived, I left them outdoors for 3 or 4 day to "breath" before installing them. If my washer was indoors, I'd probably leave them outside a few days longer. Because the washer is on the pedestal, I had a helper slide the pads under the feet as I lifted the corners of the machine. It was pretty easy. I've been VERY pleasantly surprised at how well they work. In 7 months, NO TRAVEL and I can leave clothes or such on the washer. I have to note that before placing these, I LEVELED THE WASHER as near perfect as I could. I'd buy these again.

4 Pack of Anti Vibration Pads
They're may be OK, but not for my application/ I used 'em to reduce vibration of my generator which sits on the back of my cargo van. When generator is running, noise inside the van is almost unbearable...

Great for AC Condenser
I've just completed installing and properly tuning a split system air conditioner and evaporator coil to work with my existing gas furnace. I bought the equipment, the R410a, and about $1000 worth of specialty tools (no shortcuts) - almost all online (95% Amazon). I did this - after loads of research - because I wanted to ensure that my specific installation wishes would be fulfilled. And I still saved $1500 over the lowest bid (and that guy completely ignored a specific request). I put a set of four of these under my AC condenser (under them is a concrete walkway), and I am very pleased how stable and quiet the unit is. I think this was the correct solution. They do stink; I would definitely not use them indoors.

This product is good, but it has a special feature.
This product may be a excellent cure for vibrations, but I never got to use it for the purpose it was intended to be used. These isolation pads are made from a type of rubber. It's a type of rubber material that gives off an oder. An oder that I did not like, I could not get rid of, and I could not get use to.
