Works perfectly for rats/mice
My small back yard had become a war zone, and the mice were destroying my plants. Not any more! I have several bird feeders in my small back yard, and the birds and squirrels drop a lot of seed on the ground. I'm OK with the squirrels, as I work from home (thanks COVID) and they are my entertainment. The mice are attracted to the seed...so I created the problem. I did some research and tried lots of other options, including switching to spicy seeds with capsaicin (expensive), paying a professional to trim the tree (very expensive), planting marigolds and that (supposedly) deter the mice, putting the feeders away at night (ugh), closing off the entry points, using rodent deterrent spray, sprinkling hot pepper flakes & ground cayenne on the ground, etc. None of this fixed the issue with the mice, and my plants were being eaten down to the ground. I bought this nifty little device and on the first night BINGO! I won the first battle. The device arrived on time, well packaged, with rechargeable batteries already installed, a small screwdriver, a power cord, and both pieces of the stakes. The instructions were easy to follow and provide a list of what the different settings do and how to adjust. I set it in direct sun for about 4 hours to charge, and it lasted all night on setting 3. After blocking off the other favorite entry points along my white vinyl fence (with bricks) I set the device on high sensitivity and setting 3 and positioned it about 3 feet away from the base of the oak tree. This is the spot that I have observed dozens of mice coming & going and wanted to disrupt their established trail, and it's directly under the bird feeder pole and in front of the flowers the mice prefer to eat. The tree branches touch the tree in the neighbor's yard (we live in condos with small yards) so this is the mouse super-highway. I turned the device on at dark, went inside, left the yard light on, and waited. The mice appeared as usual, but the show they put on was highly entertaining. The motion sensor worked exactly as designed. The mice came down the tree, approached the device, immediately tripped the sensor, and went scrambling back up the tree. I watched through a window for over an hour with the yard light on, and no matter how many times the mice attempted to approach the base of the pole, or flank the device to get to the flower bed, they tripped the motion sensor and went running up the tree. I turned off the yard light and watched for a few minutes, and could see them continue to trip the sensor (it has a dim red light when activated) and run up the tree. I had a good laugh and went to bed. In the morning I went out to hang the bird feeders and inspect the scene. The device was still active and I could see the red light come on when I tripped the sensor. The birds had been sitting on the ground directly in front of it and didn't care about the ultrasonic sound (that I couldn't hear). The mice clearly had NOT been feasting on my plants or digging holes in the mulch. I assume the mice will continue to test the capabilities of the device and will figure out how to enter the yard from a different spot (the fence gate has significant gaps), so I am going to purchase additional devices and place them strategically in the yard to cover all of the flower beds. I can see why some other reviewers didn't have the same results I got. I have a small yard with a 6 foot privacy fence, and the mice have a clearly established path. I can easily find other entry points and close them up, or place a device to deter. I treated this exercise like I would when disrupting ants that are invading the house...find the access point and the source, then disrupt it. This might not work as well, or at all, in a large yard that is completely open to critters. I will have to see how long the device works after a few rainstorms, or being exposed to the Florida humidity and salt air over time. But for now, this thing gets 5 stars!!

The unit does not work and Customer Support was not helpful
This ultrasonic deer repeller was fully charged, did turn on, but emitted no sound or light to deter deer when I moved in front of it - like my other devices do. I contacted Customer Support, but my complaint was not addressed. 1st email to Customer Support: I charged it for over 24 hours using the port above the battery compartment. Replaced the rechargeable batteries with Duracells. Light goes on when the unit is turned on, but nothing happens when I pass my hand in front of the device. Put the rechargeable batteries back in and am now charging it using the port at the bottom of the device. Response: Please set the sensitivity to the largest point. When you tune to mode #4, don't you hear a siren? Do you not see the motion sensor illuminated in red in mode #5? 2nd email: I set the sensitivity to the highest level. On Mode 4 the siren sounds. The red light is illuminated on all modes. The problem is that motion in front of the device does not trigger any sound or light that would repel unwanted animals. The device does not work and I want a refund. Response: On the one hand, you said that the unit is working and that the motion sensor is illuminated in red, and on the other hand, that the unit is not working properly. So I'm confused whether your unit is ok or not. Do you mean that you see a red light only as soon as you change from off to mode #1, and then after that the sensor does not operate the device? 3rd email: As I have now written you twice, the problem is that the unit turns on but no sound or lights get triggered by any movement in front of the unit. I have working ultrasonic devices in my garden and when you pass in front of them, they emit a series of beeps and flashing white and blue lights. Your device does not do this on any of the settings. I would like to return it and receive a refund. So far, no response to this third message to Customer Support

Keeps the pests away well!
I have been having problems with some uninvited guests - raccoons! Cute, but not great to have around the house as they can cause a lot of damage. I worry about them destroying the outside of our home so I wanted to get rid of them, but in a humane way. I have been using this animal repellent for three weeks now and I have noticed that the raccoons are not hanging around anymore. I am impressed with how effective it has been. Installation is easy, stake it in the ground or hang it on the wall of your desired location. It operates by AA rechargeable batteries, once installed the sun will charge the repellent. The repellents will send high frequency sound waves that will deter small animals from wanting to be around your home, however the frequency is completely undetectable to a human ear - quiet and harmless. I also like this repellent as an option as I have small children and this doesnโt use any harmful chemicals for me to worry about. Highly recommend it if you have some unwanted pests hanging around.
