Brother golf
The book was a wonderful read. The Bruce Edwards in the book came alive as he revolutionized the historic role of a caddy from a sub-human employee to one of charm, intelligence, grace, kinship and rich in every relationship. The story includes the great friend Tom Watson was to Bruce and the innumerable ways Tom believed in Bruce. Some marriages do not contain the bond that Bruce and Tom had. Great golf anecdotes and memories of that time. Still wish Tom could be playing.

Human side of Professional golf
For golf lovers and Tom Watson fans this is a touching journal of a relationship between a golfer and his caddy. While many caddies remain anonymous in their dutiesTom becomes the public face of his sidekick. A tale of courage and love.

Really worth reading
I just got around to reading this book, I wish I would have done it sooner. This is a very interesting and inspiring story. If you are a golf fan like I am, you will love the way Bruce described being inside the ropes. Although his life was cut short, he certainly lived it to its maximum. He did it his way. You have to admire a man with such passion. The book also shows that Tom Watson is not just a champion golfer, he is a champion in life. A true gentleman. Great Book!!

A Life Well Lived - It's Story Well Told
In the days where professional golf seems to be so much about the money, it is refreshing to read a story about another aspect of golf that is not often told. The personal side of the relationship between a player and his caddy. Not just any player - Tom Watson. Not just any caddy - Bruce Edwards. They met by chance and Watson said they would try it for a week and see how it goes. It went for 30 years and ended only because Edwards contracted ALS. This is a charming and well told story that will bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye. It isn't all fairways and greens. It also involves a heart and a soul.

John Feinstein has an amazing talent for weaving a real life timeline that draws you into the story. Heartfelt and inciteful, it helps you to see their life on tour including helping you to understand how Bruce Edwards and Tom Watson literally changed the role that the caddies previously had in the PGA.

Caddy for Life
The access John Feinstein has to the subjects of his books leads to some of the best story-telling around. As a golf fan, I've enjoyed the public side of Tom Watson's recent success - but this story was about Bruce, one of the key elements of that success. A well-written story that left me more than a little misty eyed.

Well written and moving read
Very well written, an interesting and in parts very moving read. You’ve probably read some of these stories elsewhere, but I’d recommend it.

Great read, have tissues to hand though!
Brilliant book, however should have a health warning on the cover, many tissues required! Great read and you really get to understand the relationship between player and Caddy and particularly between Bruce and Tom Watson who went through thick and thin together.
