All metal button mechanism.adjustable airflow.At first, I had some trouble getting it to light, but I was able to fix by making the spark wire come up a little further and then hooking it back so it arcs with the center of the nozzle. Be careful to pull it in a controlled way because it is just coupled together with another wire inside of a silicon tube. I accidentally pulled it out, I was able to get it all hooked back up but even with needlenose tweezers, it wasn't easy to get it all back together. I left the tube poking halfway out of the hole, which you can see in the pictures, I think its better like that.Now, there is no seal in the fill port, and it would only fill about a quarter of the way up. So I cut a little donut out of a rubber band and shoved it down around the fill nozzle. That worked perfectly and it filled up to about 98% of the way. Don't let it get that full or you will spew liquid butane everywhere in a pretty dazzling display at anything above the minimum flow. (And I took the lever off of the gear and tried, it can't go any lower than when you get it stock.)After those two easy little improvements, it is a very nice inexpensive torch with a unique adjustable airflow that needs some getting used to but the flame is a very handy option to have.UPDATE: I went through the extra fuel and now have normal sized flames again. I dont feel like taking it apart to check but it is still pretty full. All in all couldn't be happier between the price, the adjustable airflow and the wide range of flame size.+ Pictures of max and min flames

Easy to use torch, very simple to fill and works very easily with just a push of the button (see thumb in the photo)I was going to put 3 stars because I don't know where the kill switch is.On one side, there is a black button that says "off" on the left and "lock" on the right. When the torch is on and I move it to "off", when I click it again it just seems to shut off. If, when on, I slide it towards "lock," the torch stays on without depressing the (thumb) button. Otherwise it is a pretty unsatisfying button as it doesn't lock into place in any way. I would like to lock it in the off position when it's in storage!I use this in the kitchen, for caramelizing and today, for softening icing to make the sprinkles attach on a cookie animal.

Worked OK for a couple weeks, so I'll leave my original review below, but right after the return window closed, the "on/off" switch broke off. I emailed the seller, Heyue, if they sold a replacement part. They said they'd send me a new one for a positive review! I said I'd be happy to if the new one worked. Weeks go by and I email them asking of the status of the replacement, and they say, no you have to leave the review first. On a broken torch! And now it's even stopped sparking! Enjoy your review!---Pretty sure it's all been said about this handy torch, but maybe it's just mine, but sometimes it won't stay lit unless I pull back on the OFF <> LOCK switch towards LOCK as I push the igniter. And oftentimes I won't turn off when I push the same switch forward towards OFF, until I dial down the gas adjustment lever on the right as well. One more little trick I learned, if the flame is still too small for you having adjusted the gas slider as far rear as I can go, you can make it even smaller if you *barely* nudge the Off <> LOCK switch towards OFF. But too much and It'll turn off.Only been using it a week, so we'll see how it holds up.

Best torch I’ve ever used! Perfect for the several different things I use it for around my apartment! Extremely hot! Love the two different flame options as well! Sometimes works better than you actually want it to, so definitely can’t complain about something that works too good because that would just be whining!

Super sturdy, came in great package, easy to use, hard to burn yourself, and I live that it has an adjuster for the flame! And super easy to refill

Ok I purchased this and the return window is closed. I got this to have as a back up for when my current died. It died today so I’m thinking no problem I have a back up. Well I filled it up it worked for five minutes and couldn’t get it to work again. So I would like a refund please
