A must-have for newbies to histology
First-year med student here with almost no experience in histology. I just took my first exam after using this pocketbook as a supplement to my labs, textbook, and lectures. This pocketbook is essentially concise notes that I would have spent time making to put all of the info in one place. Talk about a time-saver! It's easy to read and the pictures are perfect. I love charts and tables so we can get to the point as quickly as possible without sacrificing content. I had one of the highest scores in the class and I know it was in great part because of this book. We have another exam coming up ("one of the hardest sections" they say) and I already feel very confident after reading through the associated chapters in this book. Saving time while still being able to really learn and retain the information is priceless. If you're a student being tested in histology, this book might make all the difference for you, too.

Great Pocket Guide
Perfect little pocket book for students, beginning, or even seasoned histologists. It has amazing slide images, detailed information concerning individual stains, and is great to have around in the lab or for personal use.

A good compact and helpful pocket lexicon / learning book.
I am “only” a retired private person, who never worked with health (a machine engineer). However, both for having a compact and quick first hand book to jump into, before going to the big books, and especially after missing information from the doctors, I bought this book. The book is fantastic good with its enormous numbers of microscopic pictures, the photomicrographs, and then besides with its many colorful drawings. For example, concerning the ear, we have 5 drawing, and 3 photomicrographs. For example, when I today one week ago was to a meeting with scanning and talking about our body bones, I from this book on the side 41 could show the doctor a better bone tissue scanning than the one he showed on the screen.Throughout the book, on around 250 of its sides, for each chapter we first are getting a compact short writings about the actual subject. Then for each of the following photomicrographs, and drawings, we on their left sides have columns with the Structure and on their right side, respectively a column with Function and one with Location. In addition, much helpful number and lines to the actual positions. Absolutely required. All together a fantastic fine book, actually, to me, it looks out as a gook first hand learning book. Even though I now own around 550 health/doctor books. During my life I have had quite a bit of violent accidents, and besides, here in Thailand, some failures from doctors, therefore the many books. But again, an excellent compact book.
