Bought this based on youtube reviews, not disappointed. A very useful preamp with basic controls, includes an XLR output as well as its unbalanced output that goes to an amp. A useable overdrive that changes the character of the tone in an interesting way. I found the compressor was useful, in the same way that any compressor without an input trim is.Feels well built. I also have their other bass preamp pedal and graphic EQ, which also feel sturdy and do what they need to do.

Especially when the overdrive is engaged it is pretty dark sounding, but very beefy sound. Recommended, but not if you are into super clean bass tones.

The BFactory is compact and very well made. The pre/post switch is nice to further shape the tone when using the overdrive. The single knob compressor is effective and usable. However, there is a HUGE bass boost when engaging the OD that you have to tame using the bass eq knob that when the OD is disengaged the preamp then sounds thin and dull and not very useful as a bass preamp in the end. I'm sending it back.
