Nice, sturdy leash
Great leash and love the flashlight feature. The only thing I wish it had was starter pack of bags for the holder.

Dont buy
Teeny batteries. Used product one month, stopped working. Cheaply made flashlight.

A Confusing Mixed Bag
I have mixed feelings about this dog leash. It seemed like the total package when I ordered it, but in reality it's pretty underwhelming. The leash itself is sturdy and striped with reflective colors. It's got a loop on each end which confuses me about how it attaches to the dog collar/harness. The poop bag dispenser feels really cheap and flimsy. The bags are supposed to pull out through a very narrow slit of an opening, so it was difficult to thread them through. They didn't dispense very smoothly either. Finally, finding where the batteries are and inserting them was a challenge. They are flat, like watch batteries, and they are really finicky to get installed. It took my husband forever. Once installed the light was ok. I just think there weren't enough pluses for this item to outweigh the negatives.

Good leash for night walks
So lets start with the battery-opening the battery port and changing the batteries is a bit difficult. My husband tried and couldn't even get his fingers near the clip. I finally took a pair of pliers and opened it. Getting the batteries to stay in place was a whole other ballgame as the batteries kept trying to pop out of place. All that being said, once the batteries are in place, this leash is great. We have a young puppy so being able to clip to her collar is great. The light right on the leash frees up a hand. It is a bit of an adjustment to be able to direct the leash and use the light at the same time, but once you get it down, it is very helpful for nighttime potty runs.

Lights up your nightly walk
No batteries included unfortunately, but it does work and it does light the path/hidden poop during a night walk with the pup

Confusing
I'm confused about the design choices for this leash. Each end just lips on itself with a latch so you're supposed to loop the rope around your hands but also around the dogs neck and hope it doesn't choke. I am unable to undo the dog end of the loop to just attach it to his harness. It doesn't really extend much and you would have to fiddle with it to get it to be shorter again. I would not consider it an extending leash, maybe the length is "adjustable" but not by much. The flashlight is encased in plastic where the poop bags are stored so I guess you're supposed to put your hand through the loop then hold the flashlight case? It's not great.

Terrible design - bag rolls get stuck; cheap carabiner; non-standard batteries
I was quite disappointed with this dog lead-light-bag dispenser combo. The lead itself is fine. The materials appears durable and the length is acceptable. However, the carabiner that is used to attach to a dog harness is garbage. It is cheaply made and often does not align properly. This results in the clasp not closing properly....and potentially dangerous.Second failure point is the useless bag dispenser. The plastic is very cheap and the design is TERRIBLE. As shown in the attached photos, the bag rolls are supposed to slide into one side of the dispenser, pull one bag through the slit to start, and slide the back onto the other side to secure. However, this design is awful and simply does not work for standard dog waste bag rolls -- I tried two brands with no success: Amazon generic (with plastic core) and Pet N Pet (with cardboard core). With both standard size rolls, the roll diameter is too large for the plastic dispenser housing. There are fixed plastic tabs/protrusions inside the dispenser (I presume there to keep the rolls secured). However, they are unnecessary and ultimately jam the roll and causes it to lock up. As such, the bags are completely stuck and it will not spin at all. Also, the slit to feed the bags through is quite narrow. This slit also has 2 "teeth" that grab the plastic bags and cause them to rip when a full roll is inserted. To add even more frustration, the battery compartment is hard to access. For some odd reason, it also uses 3 random button batteries rather than AA or AAA size. Moreover, the batteries are almost impossible to load. The spring tension causes them to pop out while loading. After MANY attempts and applying pressure with a screwdriver, I was finally able to get all 3 batteries seated and secured. Terrible design and implementation.Overall, the product is highly flawed and I cannot recommend.

Good Leash But Not So Great Light & Bad Dispenser Design
I like this product for its good quality and strong leash, but not so happy with the light design. First, the light uses small specialty batteries, similar to a watch battery size and they are very difficult to remove/insert without having the batteries pop out. It would have made more sense if they used AAA or AA batteries. Second, the design and placement of the light is odd. The poop bags get stored in the light container compartment which leads to difficulty when pulling your bags out. The slit for pulling a dog bag out is very small and doesn’t fit my standard dog poop bags and they also tend to rip when pulling them out. It’s a strange design and placement because if you are using the light to find your dog’s poop area then it makes it awkward to also try to use that same light bag storage for pulling out poop bags. I think I’ll use the good quality leash only and stick with my head mounted flashlight for my night dog walks.
