very enjoyable and convenient steam sauna experience
This is a great poor man's sauna. (There is nothing wrong with the poor man's sauna concept, BTW). After years of deliberations over what type of radiant sauna to purchase and research into EMF emissions for infrared saunas (and a price tag of at least $1200, I still could not make up my mind to get an infrared sauna, and decided to just opt for this steam sauna instead as a temporary fix. I am interested in sauna for its immune benefits, and wanted something that would raise my core temperature efficiently, without having to worry about radiation or having to pay an arm and a leg. This totally fits the bill.It is a water-proof tent with a "tea kettle" attached. No, it is not something you will pass on to the next generation - cheap PVC pipes form the scaffolding, but it was easy to install, easy to move around and, probably when summer comes, I will fold it and store it away with no problem.I have used it four or five times already and, after 30 minutes, it raises my body temperature to 101-102 F. Do not get excited about all the water you feel dripping down your body - it is not sweat but condensation. The two quarts of boiling water that go into the steam generators come into the 'tent' through a pipe, so they will have to turn back into water somehow. The floor of the tent gets soaked on the inside and, because of condensation, there is water under the tent as well. I did not get a chair, but used a toddler step stool to sit inside the tent and covered the top hole for maximum effect. It probably will be great in case of a cold (with eucalyptus essential oils) to inhale all that steam.Tips:Use boiling water in the steam generator. Your sauna is ready in 15 minutes this way.Use a mason jar or an empty yoghurt container under the steam nozzle to collect the condensation.Put a towel on the floor to collect the water. One or two drops of essential oil in the water is enough. I am enjoying it thoroughly.Do pay attention to the steam spigot - you can get burned if you come too close.Do dry it afterwards with a cloth or towel.I recommend using it on tile or linoleum, not on carpet. It will get wet underneath. If you want to cover the hole, you can use the pouch the tent came in - it's made of waterproof material.Overall, for $120, I am fully enjoying my sauna.UPDATE August 2020.After half a year (pandemic year, at that!) of regular use, at least 3 times a week, I can say that this baby rocks. The steam generator is as strong as ever, there is no mold on the tent (I wipe it after each use and leave it unzipped to dry), and my skin looks terrific. I even lost 8 pounds, but that may be more due to the stress of the pandemic than to the sauna, or, who knows? I gave up on the transversal bar altogether, and the tent works just fine without it. I even dismantled it once and put it back again with no problems and no damage to the structure. Great product! I am am thoroughly enjoying it.UPDATE Oct 2022Still going strong. I packed it away in a plastic bag for the summer and it's in perfect working order. I just had my first fall sauna while fighting off an old-fashioned cold. Love it. Best money ever spent on Amazon!

Powerful & Convenient!!!
This product is absolutely awesome & I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the use of saunas for its various health benefits! I would also like to personally reference a fella named Jon who I assume is a sales rep over at Durherm(The makers of this product) he followed up with me upon the arrival of my sauna and he also shipped out two pieces(free of charge I add) that I needed to assemble the sauna because I had accidentally broke them while trying to put It together, but again he resolved the issue for me very promptly! Being in a rush I ignored the directions of how to assemble It properly, I actually just discovered today that there are directions plain and clear in the manual telling you which pieces go where(because they are all labeled by letters) so to anyone who will read this review please refer to that manual, It will save you much time and frustration! Anyway I just used It for the first time and it’s great! It takes about 15 minutes to heat, but according to other buyers, it’ll heat quicker if you use pre-heated or warm water. I watched a video review through YouTube and the woman mentioned using clean filtered water, so I followed that by using water from the refrigerator/filter line. The sauna does get very hot and you will sweat very very much. I personally like to submerge my entire body within the sauna to get the full body experience, I’m 5’11 and a little over 200 pounds, it’s not entirely comfortable, but for me it’s bearable, I just alternate between having my legs crossed and in a fetal position. I bought essential oils to use with It also to enhance the experience. This is a great alternative for me besides using the type of sauna a gym offers with the heated rocks, it’s also probably a better option than using a infrared portable sauna because of the radiation, so get this! You won’t be disappointed! Lastly make sure you are hydrated before using this!!!
