The Best!!!
I cook southwest style often and since so many canned ingredients are basically swill (water, salt, food starch), I make stuff like enchilada sauce from scratch. I use dried anchos all the time and these are the best brand I have found. They have a nice leathery texture (if they are crispy dry, they are too stale) and a distinct earthy aroma almost like bitter chocolate. I bought a 16oz bag and I'm glad that the purchase is in my order history as when I run out, I'll order another one of this brand.

They're OK. They are already a little on the crunchy side when I received them.
The better chilies I've ordered on Amazon have come tender, flavorful, and not too spicy. These seemed to be so dry, they crumble to pieces when you try to extract the seeds.

Can't return and is not gluten free
The photos don't show the back label where it states it is processed with wheat and other allergens. I am intolerant to any gluten. I can't return the item either.

Delicious, fresh and huge!
Delicious, fresh and huge in size, these Anchos pack a great flavor punch! I've used them to make a rub for skirt steak, as well as boiled them down to make an ancho simple syrup for cocktails. Really delicious!

super yummy!
My sorry excuse for a supermarket stopped carrying dried chiles, but these are so much better than what I used to get. Not happy with the price but the ancho sauce I made with them was so good I'll be buying them again.

Flavorful
Apparently, Amazon won't let me say anything about the price, so will try again. Like these anchos, a little pricey.

Okay
These are okay. They are very dried out, making them seem a little old. Good dried chilies should be slightly supple. Made okay Chile. Very good price though.
