Highly recommend
I really love this sea salt spray. I am using it every time after washing my hair and it made miracles with it. My hair is bleached and was looking quite dull, but now I finally got the volume I was looking for, plus lovely waves.Would highly recommend.

Decent sea salt hair spray
I've only used this a couple of times so far but been quite happy with the results. It helped create the textured hair I was hoping for and although not offering a strong hold, I felt it did help preserve my curls. I was a little concerned about the castor oil but it didn't leave my hair feeling greasy. The smell isn't especially strong but is pleasant enough.

Good but overestimated
Moving from my normal brand of sea salt spray, I saw this item from Black Red wanted to try it.When received, the first thing I noticed is a very simple box. I always look at boxes when buying online to see if they would grab my attention in a store. This one I'm afraid wouldn't. It's a very simple box with very little detail or 'grab factor'. However it's very clear on what the item is.I've used the chart on the side of the box to base my review on so I'll use the three categories that it uses.1. Hold - 2/5 by the manufacturer. In my opinion, with a 2/5, I'd expect this to have a small amount of hold in it, however this hasn't held my hair in place at all. Whether that's because of my hair type, I'm not too sure but I'd expect something considering it's been given a 2/5. My recommendation would be a 0 or at most, a 1/5.The box states that it's a 1/5 for shine. Id agree with this as once it dries, there's no shine to your hair - it doesn't look greasy. Bonus.Lastly, the box states 4/5 for volume. Again I think this is overestimated as it hasn't added any volume to my hair. There's a small amount when I used a hairdryer but compared to the other spray I use routinely, this is under par. My rating for this would be a 1/5.I have awarded the product 3/5 stars because I think that it is a good spray (it smells really nice which is a bonus) but I feel that the hold and volume principles are overestimated by the manufacturer. If they were more realistic, I'd have given this a 4.5/5 as it is a nice spray.

Provides a soft textured hold to the hair
The Black Red Sea Salt Hair Spray with Castor Oil arrived well-packaged and as described. The bottle I received looks just like the photos advertised.I got this product to replace my old seat salt spray that I got from my barbers. It worked great but I wanted something with a heat protector as I tend to use the hair dryer a lot and felt my hair was becoming a bit dry. This product works well, it's easy to apply - the product comes out in a very fine mist and a few sprays goes a very long way. I use this on towel-dried hair and use the blow dryer to create texture. I have very straight hair and I like to add a bit of texture before going in with a clay to set the style in place. This product gives the hair a nice texture and a gentle hold - much like other sprays I've used. I like that it has nourishing ingredients like castor oil to protect the hair and prevent it from drying out. It provides a natural, beachy look that is matte and not greasy despite containing castor oil. It's a great first step in my hair routine and I feel it would suit most hair types/textures and help create a plethora of different hair styles. My only complaint about this product is the smell, it reminds me of cheap aftershave that I used as a teen and I really dislike it. Luckily it goes away quickly but it would definitely put me off using it again as it's quite over-powering to begin with.Otherwise, I think it's a great product for a good price and works as advertised.

Excellent salt spray.
This has been working really nicely even for my, already textured, hair.I already have some waves to my hair and spraying this into it (whilst the hair is still damp) has provided me with really defined waves that have kept for a couple of days.

Works on Dry Frizzy Hair
Initially I tried this on my own hair which is generally well nourished and slightly wavey but all this did for me was make my hair look greasy which made sense as there is castor oil in it. However, when my daughter used it on her frizzy curls it achieved a much more impressive result. The frizz was gone and the curls more defined. Not sure it did much for volume and hold but the curls were nice. The spray has a pleasant smell.

sea salt spray
This is a review of 'black red Sea Salt Hair Spray with Castor Oil, UV Protection, 200 ml'. This is a sea salt spray designed to add texture, volume, and hold waves in the hair. It has a light but pleasant smell. This performs about the same as another brand of sea salt spray I've used. It is to be applied to damp hair before styling to add texture and hold. I have also used it after taking out my heatless curler to add some extra texture and hold to the curls. This worked well too even though it was on dry hair and I was pleased with the results. Overall I feel this is a good hair product if you want some extra volume.
