I was having a problem: some of my chooks lay bumper eggs (larger than xlarge), and the cheap plastic egg tray that came with my fridge couldn't cut it. The eggs were kind of leaning against each other and not resting in the cup properly, it all seemed rather precarious for these famously breakable objects.So, I thought of getting a new egg tray and I thought "why not get a nice one"?This one mostly fits the bill. It's made from a single piece of good quality hardwood (beech), and the spacing and the cup size is fine even for my xxlarge eggs. I'm sure it will look nice on any kitchen counter or breakfast table.My only concern is that the sides are smooth, with no fingerholds or texturing to aid grip - so you'd need to take care when picking it up loaded. I would suggest that knurling the edges or adding finger grooves would be a good improvement to make on these.

This egg holder is lovely quality, nicely finished and looks perfect sitting out on top my beech block work tops.
