The plunger only turns the light on, you have to twist the bottom part of the pen to write with it. It writes really nice! Overall it's a good buy.

I tend to lay awake in the middle of the night thinking about things I need to do the next day or ideas to resolve things I am working on. In order to let them go and not worry about forgetting them I need to write them down. I keep this pen and a pad next to the bed and can jot them down without disturbing my wife or fully waking myself up. Exactly what I needed.

I like this pen a lot. I am in love with lights.

This pen is so cute. The light is very bright. It can hurt my eyes at night but it is better than the other pen I bought for writing things down in the dark.

The pen well and came with many refills which was unexpected. However, I found the light incredibly bright (maybe same people will find this a good thing), to the point that in the night after a second of use I would have spots in my vision for minutes. We bought this to record times of feeding and diaper changes in our newborns nursery without needing to turn on a light or pull out our phones, but it ended up being too bright for that so we use it like a normal pen now. Also, I tend to write with my fingers 2 inches from the tip of the pen and the pen would turn closed mid-writing many times.
