Mine came with the official Iwata hologram on the box, seems legit to me. I'll say this, if it is a knockoff they did a great job! Incredible airbrush, shoots extremely thin mixes without spitting, unlike my H&S Infinity.

It is a manufacturing code. It is different on every batch we get from Iwata.

What size air hose connection fits this airbrush?

Standard iwata air hose. 10mm, 1/8", or something like that. Grex, Olympos, Harder and Steenbeck, Richpen (etc) all use the same air hose type. Don't get the American brand sizes, like Paasche. (Although you can find adapters, generally best to get the proper size on your air hose).
