Over the years, my wonderful cat has gradually been tearing parts of his cat bungalow to shreds. When we noticed that the post that holds up the top cradle was starting to split, we searched online for solutions to the problem. We came across these well made, sturdy tie straps on Amazon and they are holding the post together extremely well and are also preventing the wood from splitting any further. As you can tell from the picture, my cat is not shy about shredding things but he has not been able to move or tear these tie straps apart once we secured them to the post. The straps are a temporary solution while we continue to search for a new cat condo that will meet with our cat's approval. He has already rejected one that we purchased recently and unfortunately, the manufacturers of his cat bungalow no longer sell this particular model.
