Soccer (Making the Play) Paperback – July 19, 2016

Please do not buy this book even because of curiosity. This is what I did and I wasted my money.First of all: Depending on how you count pages, the book is only 16 to 22 pages. Actual `information' pages are only 16.Then: The information pages come in pairs of two pages. In each pair, one page is a picture and the other page contains text distributed over 3-4 lines and printed in really big letters. The longest info page contains 36 words!Finally: The book is written by a writer who writes children's books but she has no clue about soccer. She just states the obvious. Here is the text from page 12 on curved balls (pages 8 and 11 also contain more text leading to this): "You can put spin on a ball by kicking it off-center. Baseball pitchers use spin to throw curveballs, too". Yes, this was the third page with text on explaining how curved balls happen. The whole explanation takes 6 of the 16 pages. (Recall that three pages are pictures.)If you want to show pictures to you kid about soccer and science, please use the web. There are many more interesting pictures which are way more useful. You can also find many more information on the science for any age level and education.Please show to predatory publishers that they should not try to take advantage of us!
