Removal of the old sound bar was a breeze, install not so much. I needed the adapter to connect the soundbar, there's no cavity to store the adapter, and when I called tech support they told me they never heard of such a problem. Look at previous reviews, I'm not the only one with this problem. :-( The adapter is shoved on top or the rollbar, and I have no idea what it'll look like w/ the top off or if it'll be water resistant given it's likely totally exposed.The dome light simply didn't fit. I took a razorblade and removed some padding to get it to work. A lot of pressure as I was screwing the upper portion in, and I guess I am there.Sound is better, but underwhelming. Leaving the factory bar in place, and replacing the speakers individually would've likely improved overall quality at a lower cost.It is my son's vehicle, and he's very happy w/ the aesthetics. The enlarged speakers and the accompanying grills do add a nice look if you are looking for it. It's over your head, most won't even notice it; he didn't notice the install until I pointed it out.Hope to replace the head unit and add an amp, will repost once I get something other than the stock components powering the speakers.Was disappointed SSV wouldn't recommend matching speakers for the front. I am an HT guy, and having speakers that don't have matching timbre can be a problem. Perhaps w/ stereo input it isn't as big of a deal, hopefully Kicker can help me out.

Dome light does not fit as designed and indicated in add. Will have to buy a compatible light now to make it work.

This is a great upgrade to JK/JKU sound system. Sounds great over the stock sound bar, and very easy to install. My only issue is that I have the old style dome light in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler. The old style dome light will not fit into the sound bar. You will have a newer style domelight separately, if you have the older style. I am waiting for a new dome light from a newer Wrangler to come in the mail. I will update at a later date.UPDATE: I installed the correct dome light, and now there is a rattling sound coming from the dome light area like the wires that are connected to the dome light is bouncing around inside the soundbar. Lots of sound distortion.

There is no spot on the soundbar for that big speaker plug to fit into. So the plug has to be left on top of the soundbar or it would not fit properly and that looks like crap!!! The sound is not as clear as it should be. The dome light did not fit in the ssvw soundbar had to force it in. I would have returned it but i do not want to put the factory junk back in. It is better than the factory junk NOT MUCH better but it is a little better. I installed it in a 2015 Rubicon 4 door. For that price it should have been better than it was. Just not happy with product. They need to do more r&d on this thing it does not work the way it is now.

Sound quality isn’t what I thought it should be. Looks great and fit my jk 15’ well.

The best part it was plug & play and I didn't have to add an amplifier. The price was really good too Upgrading to the 8's gave my system much better mid-range bass than before and the highs are more crisp. Definitely happy with the purchase.
