What can I write about these toothpicks? They’re tiny plastic brushes designed to scratch at the last vestiges of my dignity each night. Every brush, a grim reminder that I’m spending precious moments of my life digging lunch out of my gums.Are they effective? Sure, in the same way that slapping yourself awake is effective. They get the job done but leave you questioning how you got here. Each bendy little brush bristles as it reaches for that elusive shred of broccoli like I’m picking a lock on my own mouth. And every time I throw one away, I’m left wondering if my life truly peaked when I got my first pack of these.
