Stopped working after a few weeks
The media could not be loaded. Worked perfectly at first and then completely lost it's hydraulics and slams shut. Contacted seller who said they'd be happy to replace but then make it difficult to actually send requested video evidence of the fault before dispatching so here it is on a review! Please send the replacement

Works great, super easy to install. Not sure what people are talking about. Not only did it come with instructions but had a template for mounting .

Trial and error
As other people have said, the instructions make no sense whatsoever. Quicker to just use common sense and move it around different positions until it works. I installed one as the weight of the lid dictated; it holds open but still slams shut so will install the second and hope that resolves it.

stop looking and buy these
The media could not be loaded. Currently making a toybox for myself and my wifes baby and wanted to make sure to have a soft close lid for the future to protect fingers. Easy to install and perfect for top lid application. They allow the top to drop at a slow pace and look nicer than the usual strut setups. very pleased even if they are a little pricey i think for the quality and other products ive used there worth the money.
