Multiple certifications. Fresh and burpless!
When I stuck my nose in the newly opened bottle of NFO fish oil, all I could smell was the light, clean scent of fresh fish. There was no heaviness, and not a hint of rancidity. I checked the expiration date on the bottle: September 26, 2026, almost 2.5 years in the future. Nice! The capsules were in perfect condition, pristine with none sticking together. Fish oil capsules will always be the biggest pill in a handful of supplements, and these are no exception, but if you're shopping for Omega 3s, you already know that. Despite being big, they are smooth and streamlined so not difficult to swallow. Perhaps due to their enteric coating, these capsules did not give me fish burps, nor was there any hint of a fishy aftertaste.I am careful about choosing fish oil, so I find the multiple certifications for this product, from both the US and Norway, to be reassuring. Norwegian fish oil is desirable, but costs more. I feel like this NFO offers a good balance between safety and value.

Good quality fish oil in standard caps
These are pretty standard fish oil supplements. The caps are fairly large but I had no trouble swallowing them. The only drawback is they don't seem to be molecularly distilled. That's a very minor ting though. I feel this is a good product and I'll be using them.

High quality fish oil with multiple certifications
High quality and easy to swallow. There's a bunch of certifications provided by the manufacturer and in the case of fish oil that's important. The amount of omega is not the biggest compared to other brands. One capsule is 1000 mg (Omega-3 PUFA 620 mg, incl. Eicosapentaenoic acid 310 mg, Docosahexaenoic acid 205 mg, Vitamin E 1.46 mg).

Good quality Omega 3s
This fish oil comes from Norway, land of good fish. The fish oil used in this product is sourced from wild caught mackerel, anchovies and sardines. Even the capsule is made from fish.If you are looking for an hefty dose of Omega 3’s, you’ve come to the right place: Each capsule provides 1 gram of pure fish oil. Suggested dosage is 1-2 capsules. I feel one should be sufficient for most people.AS far as I’m concerned , this is about as good as it gets. The only product that might be purer in terms of pollutants would be arctic krill oil, but that is usually considerably more expensive.Verdict: a great way to get your essential fatty acids in Omega 3 form. (The one you want.)Recommended.

Expensive!
From what I've read, Norwegian is more expensive than other types of fish oil supplements, as it is supposedly less likely to have a chance of contamination due to the cleaner water in the oceans near Norway where the fish are caught to make fish oil. OK, but this is at least triple the cost of other fish oils, which are a good supplement to an overall healthy lifestyle.

Easy Omega 3 Supplement
I have heard a lot about the benefits of omega 3 supplements, so I was excited to try one that has been registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and that uses Norwegian fish oil. Upon opening the bottle, I did notice a fishy smell, but there wasn't as strong of a smell in an individual soft gel once out of the bottle. Even more importantly, there was no fishy taste when taking the supplement and no fish burps or other issues you may have seen reported with other omega 3 supplements. I'm excited to continue including this in my new routine and look forward to the health benefits! I would definitely recommend this to anyone, including those wary of the fish component to omega 3 supplements.

Ingredient list is confusing
NFO Omega 3 Forte [60 Capsules] Norwegian Fish OilI had high hopes for NFO fish oil, but I have been disappointed. When I buy vitamins on the internet, I want to see a product that follows the guidelines of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) as published by the US Government.I would like to see third party analysis for purity.I insist that the doses stated on the label are correct.Nowhere on the label is it stated that NFO uses good manufacturing practice. There is no statement of third party analysis. My biggest problem is with dose. The label has obvious errors. They label states the amount of vitamin E in the capsule as 1.46 gms, and less than 0.1 percent of DV. The daily recommended dose of vitamin E is about 15 milligrams. The label states the contained amount of vitamin E is 1.46 grams or 1460 mg, almost 100 times DV. I cannot help it if this is a possible typo, it shows carelessness. All the other fish oil capsules I look at contain about 300 mg of EPA, and about 200 mg of DHA for 2000 mg of fish oil. This product label shows the same amount of EPA and DHA for only 1000 mg of fish oil. Equivalent to 1 capsule.I cannot reconcile the ingredient quantity with the oil weight.I do not trust the label ingredients to be as stated. Too many of what appear to be simple mathematical errors.I have no idea how much EPA or DHA are contained in each capsule.
