Decent laptop at a good price
I bought this laptop as it was a good processor within my budget after a recommendation to get a Ryzen from a friend. It is a huge leap forward from my 10 year old laptop! Decent sized screen and lightweight, I'm happy with the purchase. My small criticisms are minor and I cant expect too much from buying a budget laptop. The keyboard and tracker pad feel a little plasticky - I prefer buttons for mouse clicks too as it avoids accidental clicks - and sometimes I left click when i meant to right click, and vice versa. I also really wanted touch screen but that was probably out of budget at the time. Overall, very happy.

A fast processor, low power draw and clear screen Laptop at a reasonable price
The machine is certainly very fast as I have it set up (without an MS account and the removal of most of the pre-installed bloatware which makes any PC sluggish due to the over-reliance on a fast internet connection which is not always available and use of wasteful use of the RAM. The internal SSD storage is fast and more than adequate with 1Tb capacity and the backup to an external drive takes very little time using the USB-C port. While some users will like the illuminated keyboard, I found the keyboard illumination made seeing the key labels difficult as I am not a touch typist - it can be turned off using F7, so not a major probleem. The monitor is clear and responsive even when working in extended screen mode with a projector, and although I do not use the fold-flat capability, others may find it useful. The battery life is up to six hours and Wi-Fi connection fast. It is also almost completely silent in operation. The only two slight niggles are the lack of an ethernet port and the fact that there are only two USB3 ports and one USB-C which means I have to carry a USB-C adaptor to increase the number of USB-C and USB3 ports, plus a USB3 to RJ45 ethernet adaptor. While these are not expensive it would help to have four USB3 and two USB-C ports included as standard. (I use the USB2 port for a wireless mouse dongle.) To summarise the laptop is a good fast machine for general use, giving PowerPoint presentations, editing sound recordings and video. I cannot comment on game playing as that is not something I use it for!

Very good value
This laptop arrived very promptly from Amazon and was easy to set up. Once that was done it starts very promptly and completes tasks quickly and efficiently. This was my first experience of Windows 11 and that was also a very smooth transition (once I had located the Power Off button in the middle of the screen and not bottom left as on Windows 10). All in all I have very positive first impressions and am very optimistic it will do all the Teams, Zoom, Word, Excel and Adobe work I need very adequately.

Solidly satisfied
The 16 inch screen is great for my laptop for multiple windows needed for my technical mutitasking. Windows 11 is good, comes with windows subsystem for Linux which I needed for my engineering/development projects. AMD Ryzen 7 works well and smooth so far, was able to get AI applications running well on AMD Radeon GPU well. Battery life seems good so far despite the reviews on it but as long as you've got your laptop charger with you and socket it's not really an issue to be honest. Comes with USB c backup charging which I like and has two USB ports which is good. Solid choice for coding/engineering work

Not as good as my previous Asus
I had a ASUS VivoBook M513UA a few years ago and it was great, so I bought this one thinking it will be better, I was left disappointed. The good points: 1.The screen is bigger, although not really in 16:9 ratio. 2. The SSD is 1 TB, difficult to find budget laptops with more than 512GB The BAD points 1. Key board is lovely at night from the back lit LEDs, in the day time whats on the keyboard can hardly be read. 2. Slow CPU, its says 4.5GHz on this listing page, Windows system reports it is only 2 GHz 3.Slow Wifi, my previous Asus can do more than 200MB/s wifi on a 280 MB/s connection with Virgin, this one can only do 110 MB/s, I had to use a Asus A53 Wifi USB dongle to get more than 200 MB/s 4. There is no SD card reader slot, I had to use a SD card adaptor to read my SD cards . 5. There is no user guide, smalls things like adjusting the back lit brightness or change the F buttons I had to use my previous experience in order to adjust it, for a new Asus user, its impossible to find out. 6. The built in speakers are very tinny, only play the high end of frequencies. I will try to contact ASUS for the wifi, will update this review. Edit: Contacted Asus customer support and asked me to do a diagnosis using MyAsus, for wifi it reports no error but the router I am using is basically too old for the Wifi 6E wifi adaptor, I am using ASUS Wireless Router RT-N66U as my router which is 9 years old. I will have to keep on using the Asus A53 USB Wifi to get better speed.
