RAINPOINT Bluetooth Hose Timer with Brass Inlet,Smart Water Timer for Garden Hose with Rain Delay/Manual/Auto Watering, App Control

Works well and helped tremendously when we went on vacation. With multiple units purchased, we were able to turn on soakers and sprinklers in our garden area remotely while we monitored the weather. Much better than depending on a preset timer! Also, the batteries lasted a pretty long time - about 4 months or more.

I have used this for more than a month and it seems to work very well. I have this connected to a 1/2" drip irrigation line watering around 30 fruit trees and various other plants. The app works well on IOS and I have had no connection issues. It is definitely worth paying a bit more for a smart timer like this, than a regular timer, since you get access to the runtime history and access it remotely, not to mention a much more user-friendly scheduling interface.

NOTE: This product is more useful with a wifi hub (make sure you get the right wifi hub as it will not work with the Smart+ system, which is what I have). It will still function with Bluetooth, but once I get far which is when I get into the house, the unit is not connected to the app. May not be an issue if you are just interested in plug and forget.The unit works as described and does the job of watering on a timed basis. I set the timer in the app for every day for 10 min and each day my drip irrigation system worked. You need to download a separate app for this system (compared to the Smart+ system, would have been nice if all of the units worked in the same app for Rainpoint). It also comes with a brass fitting on the faucet side, so it is bound to last long. Even came with teflon tape.You really have to decide which system you want to be a part of, the Rainpoint system or the Rainpoint Smart+ system. If you choose the standard Rainpoint system, then this units is a great addition to it.

The valve worked for 1 season and developed a leak when I installed it the next spring. It seems that the valve spring was installed backwards so the tip poked a small hole in the diaphragm. I emailed them and they were very responsive. After sending them a picture (required by most companies these days even if it doesn't make sense), they sent me a replacement valve. Along the way I realized that if you register the product, it extends the warranty to 5 years!!! I have not heard of similar product with a 5 year warranty. I bought a second one for some additional ferns. It is super simple to set up through Blue tooth and the app is pretty straightforward. Takes maybe 5 minutes to set up and add a timer.

I use this timer to control approximately 250ft of drip irrigation in my garden. Set up was easy and using the app is simple and convenient.You can set multiple daily watering schedules or set a timer for immediate manual watering. Bluetooth range is great and the timer can still be controlled by the app if your wifi is down. If you buy the additional WiFi hub you can control the timer when your away from home.This timer is great and I highly recommend it.

I have three of the RainPoint valves and they are all great. Makes life much easier. Easy to use stall and use the app for immediate watering or scheduling infinite options for days and times. Highly recommend.

After only one season of use this now leaks out of the bottom back of the unit. When the unit is not actively watering our plants we come out to large puddles of water from the unit. It almost looks like the valve inside the unit is not closing.

This is our second time purchasing this product. It works well and we love that you can program and control it through an app. It broke during wintertime, but other than that, no issues on it.
