Bought multiple bags to toss out to the kids on the 4th of July parade route. So much fun and the kids loved the candy.

It comes with lots of candy 5lbs to be exact, the only problem is that too many hard candy and two little of Skittles and soft chewing ones. But they are tasty and fresh. My daughter used it for my granddaughter's birthday party and we're happy.

I was expecting more soft or chewy candy. Most of my bag was hard candy (mints, jaw breakers, peppermint candies and butterscotch candies). I will just buy full bags of what we want instead of a mixed bag.

I hate to leave a bad review for candy, but what I received is nothing like the photos. The photos show some skittles and laffy taffy and what I got was 85%+ hard candy and junk candy. They could have at least thrown in 2-3 bags of skittles and I would’ve been happy and it wouldn’t have broken their bank. This is the type of candy that cheap companies throw out at parades. I couldn’t put this in a piñata if I wanted to because it’s all hard candy that children can’t even eat. If I passed this candy out at Halloween my house would probably get egged. This is candy you’d put in a candy dish at a business or expo center to keep it cheap but make it seem like you’re being generous.Not much variety in this pack.

Description and picture shows Dots, Laffey Taffey, Skittles , Starburst , Assorted Tootsie Rolls , tootsie pops-and hard candy mints butterscotch and other assorted flavored hard candies. There are no Dots Laffey Taffy Starburst. Only 4 tootsie rolls 2 tootsie pops 2 packages of skittles and a few starburst very deceiving 90% of the bag is hard candy. Non returnable Not a good buy unless you want 41/2 lbs of hard candy

The candy was old. The pieces were all sticky and didn't taste fresh at all.The seller corrected the issue.

So my bag actually had a decent assortment of chewy and hard candies, but judging by the other reviews, it seems to be luck whether you get a good assortment or not (I added some pictures to this review where I separated the hard candy from the candy I think most people would be interested in like the skittles, starbursts and tootsie rolls, and you can see the difference in the amounts).Each of the different types of candy tasted good to me except the long tootsie rolls wrapped in wax paper, those were pretty hard and seemed to be old and that's why I dropped a star (whereas the large tootsie rolls sealed in plastic were fresh and just fine). If you want a big bulk bag of candy for a classroom, an event, or holiday like Halloween, this is actually a good option. If you are buying for yourself though, I think it's best to just get what you know you like separately and make your own mix.

For $20, this 5 pound bag of assorted candies was definitely a little disappointing. I like hard candies, but the listing photos showed it having more types of candies than what it actually came with. It also says non-melting candies, but my bag arrived with the candies slightly melted, sticky, and the wrappers stuck on. My bag did have a few different candies like tootsie roll products and a few starbursts, but it’s mostly hard fruity candies. I don’t think kids would mind if this were used for a piñata, but the sheer amount of hard candies is definitely noticeable. The candies do taste fresh and none of the tootsie rolls were stale.
