I use canning jars for most of my storage, theses are great, even in the freezer.

So I bought these even after reading reviews that said they didn't fit standard wide mouth jars. A few reviews said you just had to use some elbow grease so I bought them. Big mistake. They DO NOT fit any kind of jar and I tried at least 4 different brands as well as quart and pint sizes. Also multiple lids thinking maybe it was a few that were wrong, but nope. They are threaded wrong. I used as much elbow grease as I dared to try and get them on. They were kind of thin so I was afraid to bend them. I even used a damp and dry wash clothes and still, no go. Then I missed my return window, so now I'm stuck with them.

I tried these on a half gallon wide mouth Mason jar and they do not fit. I tried multiple lids and none fit. They're just a touch too small so they won't screw on right. So annoying coz I was so excited to get them! I haven't tried them on a Quart jar yet, but I don't see how that would make a difference.11/29 OK just tried them on a wide mouth Quart jar. Also doesn't fit on that, not that I expected it to. Waste of money, do not buy!! As you can see by the pictures, it doesn't fit. The last one shows how it fits inside the ring for the jar. It shouldn't fit inside that!! Just more proof that it doesn't and will never fit.And of course its too late to try to return them. I should've tried them out right away.

I should have spent the extra on stainless. These were a scratcy fir and rusty after the first was. Leaves paint and rust on the mouth of the jars.

2 things. First, the flimsy box burst inside the Amazon poly bag. Second, the threading on these lids do not work on standard Ball or Kerr wide mouth mason jars. I tried 5 random lids on multiple jars. None fit. Sad :(
