Outstanding sound in a small footprint
I have a pair of Eris E5s that I use for my music setup, but I found them to be a little lacking, so I had to augment them with extra tweeters and a large subwoofer. This worked well, but for my computer desk, I wanted something simpler, and didn't have space for a subwoofer. After evaluating some other options, I decided to give these a try, and I'm not at all disappointed. They fit nicely on my desk on either side of my monitor, and give amazing sound all the way from desk-shaking rumbles up to sharp percussive sounds. As gimmicky as it looks, I think there's something to this coaxial design. Something always sounded a bit weird about the treble in my E5s when sitting up close, and I'd long wondered if it could be to do with some phase weirdness. I guess that could very well have been it - either way, I hear nothing of that in these.I've tried a bunch of different desktop monitor speakers over the years, and mostly been disappointed, but this is the first time I've been truly satisfied with just a single pair of something. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.
