Fun read
A mutual friend of ours sent me the link, showing me that Soma's book was finally available so I ordered it right away. I started reading it using my Kindle and found it is written just like Soma speaks. This means that you do need to pay attention as she has a tangential speech pattern that is fun but can be confusing until you get to know her a little. In the telling of one little story, Soma may drift to several other stories leading up to and explaining the main story.I have not had the chance yet to finish the book because when I was taking it out of the box, my wife saw it and took it and I won't get it back till she has finished. It turns out that the Norodom family history is still quite popular in many areas in Asia and my wife, having grown up in Thailand, was very familiar with Soma's story even before I met her. So far, I have enjoyed Soma's story and I do look forward to finishing the book.I recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in real life.

Very Awesome Book for People Who Have Faith in God
I am not the type of person to pick a book and finish reading the entire book. I like magazines cuz I like photos; however, this book “Royal Rebel” is so special. Reading the book reminded me the places and things that happened in Cambodia and I learned about Princess Soma’s journey. It really touched my heart to learn about her journey. She’s really an amazing person; a true Cambodian Princess. I read it before bedtime, in morning and day time and my honey made breakfast to serve me in bed while I was reading it. I was so interested as you can tell. I’m proud to say I finished reading the book! It’s a really awesome book that made me smile, laugh and cry. I recommend this book to everyone!

An insider's view of contemporary Cambodia
Knowing Soma is to appreciate what she has accomplished in this work. Not only do we get some insights into her, through her eyes we are guided to an insider's view of Cambodia, its complex politics and compelling history about which people like myself know precious little.

Must Read!!!
Great read. I loved hearing Soma's story, especially after visiting in 2003 and seeing Cambodia for the first time. Thanks, Soma, for your bravery in writing your story!

A Princess' inside view of her homeland
Fascinating real life story of a Princess returning to her home country after 35 years living in America to tell the story of her forgotten land. The initial chapters capture the true nature of my experiences on my very first visit to Cambodia; airport, visa's, tuk-tuk's, food, history and the general madness of this beautiful country which had me laughing at points. Then she covered the more serious issue of the country's political side, with incitement, work, study, ups and downs and family issues which had me in tears and then, an unexpected ending. A very good read that I couldn't put down.
