Effective!
Efficiently dried the second floor of the house - no more mould and damp.I have emptied tank every day 2-3 litres each time and gradually this is reducing. No more wet windows. The next model up has a few extra gizmos but I find this model less confusing and easy to use (less to go wrong with it and cheaper!)

Great for laundry
Winter months, when the weather is wet like today, my laundry gets dried on a heated airer in the conservatory, which as you can imagine creates a lot of condensation. My old, smaller dehumidifier, was not clearing the condensation, and so mould started to build up.After a lot of research, and finding this was a best buy on Which, I chose this dehumidifier which I received the day following the order being placed. Unpacking it is easy, just place the filter on the back, put in place and switch on. I had it on low for a couple of hours. There was condensation on the windows and within a couple of the dehumidifier being on, all the condensation had cleared. Today I did some washing and put it on the heated airer, switched it on and turned the dehumidifier onto laundry mode, and shut the door. As I am currently working from home in the dining room, I kept checking through the glass doors leading into the conservatory for condensation - there was none. Usually after about half an hour, the doors and windows would be running with water, especially on a day when it is wet outside, but not today. After 4 hours of it being on, the water tray had to be emptied and it takes a lot of water!! The washing is nearly dry (usually takes at least double that time) which is impressive as there are quite a few heavy jumpers on there!Seriously, would recommend this product and am thinking of getting one for the landing at the top of the stairs where I also have a problem with condensation - definitely worth the cost!

Highly recommended, quiet, easy to use and works extremely well.
Bought this a few days ago as we had a big problem with condensation on the windows, so much so on one window it looked like it had rained on the inside. Even with the windows slightly open there was a problem and with winter coming we were not prepared to have them open all night. This dehumidifier, on the first night, took 99% of the condensation from the windows away!! It has made a massive difference. As for the noise level, we have it on our landing directly outside our bedroom and we can barely hear it. There are no clicking or vibratory noises, just the gentle sound of air being blown. Even when it switches itself on and off.I would highly recommend this product. Just be prepared to empty the tank a few times when you first use it until the humidity level drops LOL. The house also seems warmer as well. The controls and instructions are easy to understand. I know it's not the cheapest but it is worth it.Anyway, hope this review will help you decide. I can understand why it has been recommended by Which?

Only worth getting this humidifer very specific situations
I bought this dehumidifier for my bungalow, I would not recommend buying this dehumidifier unless you plan to use it only in unheated areas with a temperature of less then 10C. You would be better off using a conventional dehumidifier. Otherwise you are going to waste so much money on electricity. This dehumidifier works well, but the main issue is it is extremely expensive to run.I worked out I was paying close to 40p for every 1litre of water pulled from the air. This is so much more expensive than a normal dehumidifier, around 3-4times more expensive to run per litre extracted. So I would only use this dehumidifier if you have no other options. Also my dehumidifier broke after 2 months so I ended up buying a Meaco Low Energy Dehumidryer, 25 Litre, Which was about 50% more expensive to buy, but around 1/4 of the price to run. So it should pay for itself compared to this one in about a year or so.

Meaco Portable Compact Dehumidifier DD8L
Really impressed with this dehumidifier, it’s nice and quite and does a really good job of collecting moisture from the air. We purchased it to dry our washing, instead of the tumble drier, and like I said it does a good job.

Very effective
The entrance corridor to my basement flat typically has 89% humidity especially after rainfall, when water seeps through the patter and paintwork, causing disintegration off the plaster. Nasty. The dehumidifier successfully keeps the humidity down to 50-60% ( or lower if i select the higher settings) and my electricity bill has not noticeably increased which surprised me. Very satisfied.

THE BEST!!
In our opinion this is undoubtedly the best dehumidifier on the market - and we have tried several! It's light (so easy to move around) and it has industrial efficiency in a relatively small unit. Not only is it drying out our cellar, but for the first time in five years the humidity is down from 90% to 60% in a fortnight - which is amazing considering we only haver it on at night. Only sadness is that it doesn't come with a hose any longer - which is a shame. But don't let that deter you - this is a truly phenomenal little machine!

Great product
This dehumidifier is very compact , it keeps the humidity down in the garage. It has a large capacity tank so only needs emptying every couple of days. The noise level is not bad at all.
