Sencha Kakegawa - Japanese Green Tea - The Best Japanese Tea - Organically Grown in Japan - Loose Leaf Tea - Caffeine Medium - 200g (7-ounce)

This is my first tea from Tealyra, and I will buy again. It has been an excellent tea, particularly for the price. I researched Kakegawa before purchasing, and this is my first from this particular region. It has a lightly grassy flavor, but quite mellow. I encountered no noteworthy bitterness between brew temps of 160F and 180F, 2-3 mins. You can reuse the leaves at least once (drain completely after the first and steep for less time, maybe 1 min).

This tea is excellent. Has a great flavor and not acidic. Excellent value. After many orders over a few years - still excellent tea!!

the product I purchased Sencha Kakegawa - Japanese Green Tea - is described as Organically Grown in Japan, but when I received it no where on the package does it state organic or organically grown. I find this quite misleading. If this was organic it would be JAS Certified Organic, or if this product was organically grown but not certified they should show proof of this. Feels like a bait and switch

Hardcore tea drinker -- everything from white to puehr to Assam to Oolong to Korean green tea. That being said, I've only had a few other senchas. However, I will say that this one is really good. The color is a deep green and the leaves are softish (not overly dried out). I get two strong steapings out of this -- probably could get another but by then, I've had enough. I use the Yoassi tea strainer, put it in a big coffee mug and drink two strong mugs every morning. Anyways, excellent tea.
