Great quality video with stabilization
Great addition for RC fixed wing recording. Good stabilization, great recording. Overall is a great camera.

Works good but clunky
Takes great video but the way it works is clunky. Also cuts off sometimes it's just a crap shoot if you're gonna get the whole video. But when it works it does good

Not very impressed. Kind of disappointed.
So far, I'm not very impressed with this camera. I haven't been able to get it to work well with Gryoflow. In fact, their online documentation specifically recommends avoiding RunCam cameras altogether, and now I can see why. In addition to sync issues, the sensor data seems to be unreliable as well. The "horizon lock" feature in Gyroflow not only doesn't work, it causes the video to tilt and spin in all directions. However, an even bigger problem is that the video recording stops randomly when attached to an RC vehicle. When I use it hand-held, it continues to record for as long as I'd like, but when I put it on a vehicle, it stops recording randomly between 1 and a half to three minutes. This happens while using it in a stand-alone configuration with a micro-SD card with plenty of capacity (128GB) and a full battery. I haven't tried it as an FPV camera or with an external power source. The last video I tested on a vehicle stopped at just short of 3 minutes, and the end was scrambled and distorted, almost like it wasn't able to continue to record to the SD card. Maybe it's shaking loose? I found the built-in EIS camera stabilizing feature not to be very useful for my application. I also found that the Go-Pro mount attachment was a little loose, so I had to shim it to keep the camera from shaking. Aside from the Go-Pro and tripod lug adapters, there's no good way to attach the camera holder to anything aside from double-sided tape or adhesive backed hook and loop strips, which I'm not sure I would trust by themselves on the outside of an aircraft. Especially if you want the camera to sit close to the body of your vehicle, you probably need to be prepared to DIY a secure camera holder for this. I also don't think the image quality is any better than my out-of-date cell phone camera, but I kind of expected that based on available information and other reviews. If I am able to overcome these issues, I will update the review. Like many budget electronics, there may be some hoops to jump through to get it to work as expected, which is fine, but so far, it hasn't worked for me.

Disappointed
Had high hopes, camera has definite latency, but that can be overlooked, camera would lose connection with app at slightest obstruction. for an FPV camera this will not work unless you are just wanting to let it record and watch later. I need a true FPV real time camera.

Works great as a bike 'dash' cam, runs all day without overheating.
Update: died after 5 months, company wants me to mail the camera back to China for evaluation. Removing 1 star. I bought this to mount on my bike handle bars for recording any accidents or close calls while cycling. I ran it for several hours continuously through 90 degree weather today and it never skipped a beat. The RunCam 6 stayed below 119 deg F, the Thumb 2 hit 140 deg F and shut off after about 10 minutes due to heat. This camera draws about 2.1 watts, the Thumb 2 draws 2.9 watts and is much smaller, which explains why that camera overheats. The LED display and LED lights make it easy to see that it's recording. Wifi connection was easy to use, and I was able to review files from the camera on my phone. I am using the RunCam 6 without the battery, I have it powered from USB-C using a portable battery. The Pre-record (called flashback in the manual) works great, I get about 7 seconds of recording from before I press the record button. The quality of night recording is great. The resolution and optics are good enough to easily read license plates 35+ feet away. The image stabilization is not good, footage is pretty much unwatchable, even after going though Gryoflow. I bought this just to record any incidents or accidents, so the stabilization isn't that important for me.

Pretty Glitchy
Video Quality Is Beautiful. That’s probably the one thing that says camera has going for it. Other than that, battery life is very short, and if you try to anchor it to Velcro on top, it will shut off. Not recommended unless you feel like continuously working on it or fixing it.

Battery compartment cover
Only thing so far I have issue with is the battery cover is a bit iffy to me...it latches but not real well. Worried it may pop open during an RC plane flight
