For the price, this instrument is very good. Made of plastic it does sound a tad on the gruff side, but certainly playable, having said that I feel that it is ideal for the beginner/intermediate player. It comes with a soft zip case, 2 long tubed mouth pieces, shame they are both the same length, if 1 was longer than the other, then would it be an improvement ?? possibly, also a short solid plastic mouthpiece. I have only given 4 stars because there are no instructions included. If a beginners instruction booklet had been included then a certain 5 stars. Overall a nice instrument for the price !! Personally, for me this was a good buy as I wanted it so that I could practice my right hand keyboard technique used on my piano accordion w/o having to actually put on the accordion. Also it is very portable. UPDATE... I have now updated my review to 5 STARS. Why ?? Because I have been given another 37 key instrument made by another well known manufacturer and which costs 4 times as much !! BUT, actually in tone & playability there is not a great deal of difference. The other instrument does come in a hard case & is possibly made of slightly better materials, but not noticeably different. Therefore, in my opinion the Eastar is a better buy for your bucks.

This is a great piece of kit - really easy to play, especially if you use the extended blowing tube so that you can see what you're doing! Light and portable and no batteries to worry about. I guess I am quite musical, so I just unwrapped it and started playing. Nice little carrying case too. If you enjoy making music, it will give you hours of pleasure.

I bought this as a gift for my wife that has given up the piano years ago. She absolutely loves it, the quality is great and it sounds like a way more expensive instrument.

Bearing in mind I have only just received this item, I cannot of course comment on long-term reliability. However, this instrument seems of good quality for under £20. I compared each note with my electronic keyboard and found it to be satisfactorily in tune throughout the range. My main aim is to use this as a practice instrument for learning my piano-accordion, since this melodica is a lot lighter than an accordion. (Having learnt to play the melody on this, I will only have to learn the chords to have mastered the accordion. )

Disappointed to find a duff note on the lower end of the keyboard.

Well worth the money. There was a tuning problem, but after contacting the seller they sent me a new one straight away. Ideal for beginners and comes with extra mouthpieces and carrying case. For the money, it’s definitely a Best Buy
