Exceptional All-metal Reel
Overall, I originally did not expect something extremely great with the price. I was just looking for a solid salt water reel that could last longer than what I brought before. When I actually got the reel, it exceed my expectation and I’m very happy for the purchase.- First of all, the appearance of the reel:When first saw this reel, the image looks pretty nice. After receiving it, I was not sure if the reel is going to look the same as what shown on the picture. However, after working my way through the package (it was very solid packaging), I was truly impressed by the appearance of this reel: it’s an all-metal reel with very tough and nice-looking finishing and with very special decorative painting and details (with laser cutting).- Secondly, handling:The handle is made of quality high density foam with concaved shape, it gives in a bit when squeezed but not by much: during reeling, it absolutely helps with fast reaction when getting a bite and also with reeling in heavy fish.Field test: Rod: 2.6m Fishthank; Reel: Haibo All Metal Spinning 4000; Line: PE #2; Plastic soft lure and live bait.I’ve taken out this reel for a test run at Bill Burton Fishing Pier Park, MD. It was not a perfect day for fishing since it’s a bit too cold but I’ve managed to get some fish (a 4 pounder striper, one channel cat and some perch) in order to test the performance of this reel.- I’ve tried to almost violently reel in when I’ve got the striper like I already do: feel so good, though it’s not always the smartest thing to do~ but the reel handle it pretty well: I didn’t feel, in the process, any lagging or bumpiness reeling in and it was overall very smooth and effortless. The fish got reeled in nice and steady, with a good fight of course.- When I’ve got the channel cat (a 4-5 pounder), I just kept reeling when the cat was trying to swim away (like they always do). Since I’ve got pretty heavy gear so I’m not afraid of breaking the line. During the process, I feel comfortable with the fight while the reel give me necessary power and control.- Casting: in general the casting was impressively long, given I didn’t use very heavy lure or bait. It went out smooth and quickly and I didn’t feel any interruption in between.- Anti-corrosion: it was claimed that this reel is all metal and completely adaptive with salt water heavy usage, which is partially the reason why I’ve bought it. And so far it delivered what was promised. I did superficial rinse after each use and although I can see some white residue on some of the reel surfaces, there is no sign of rust or salt residue over-build-up. I probably will update this point after longer term use.If I have to point out some cons of this reel, it looks nice and everything but some material which has high potential of coming in contact with salt water is made of aluminum alloy, and I’m not sure the long-term anti-corrosion performance about it. It would be a perfect sale water reel if this issue can be addressed. But like I said, I will see how it goes after a year or so.Overall, as I’ve mentioned at the beginning of this review, it is a good reel: it is value for money, performs exceptional well, great cast distance and handling experience and to top it off, all metal and anti-corrosion. I would recommend to a serious fisher.

The reel that gets the fish into the boat
I fish in the Gulf of Mexico and I need a reel that can withstand the harshness of a sea trip while jet ski fishing or looking sleek while on a comfortable boat ride with my clients. Today was the first time using the 6000 haibo cheetah. Let me tell you what, that real is a definite performer. We caught 4-30 lb Bull redfish, 2-4 foot sharks and a mess of red snapper on that one reel. It preformed well and my friend who is new to fishing was able to use this reel like a pro. I believe this is a great product and can't wait to replace my other reels with the 6000 Haibo Cheetahs.

Swam with it in the Gulf and no problems
Ok so I was search pretty hard for a decent reel because I was tired of dealing with the Walmart specials and didn’t want to pitch out good money for a overly priced piece of junk but I was not disappointed with this reel! I bought it for surf fishing and literally was up to my chest in surf to get behind the swells and this reel spent hours practically underwater in the Gulf. I sprayed it off with a hose when I was done and bam, like new again. If your surf fishing then I would highly recommend.

Great quality so far. Awesome price!
Four stars for now as I haven't fished it yet. The build and quality definitely seem up to par. A hair heavy(9000size), but not a deal breaker, as I expected some weight from size. I'll update once I've landed a few fish and actually tested its drag and durability. I do freshwater rinse and lube after all fishing trips and maintain my gear.

Terrible Fishing Reel - Full refund is demanded!!!
No response from the seller, Amazon, or the manufacturerI will have to take further actions so it seems.Dear Sheeta manufacturer,My name is Sam Ragab, I am a professional and big game angler with 20 years of experience. I work for the UN and have some many colleagues who are anglers as well, and some of them work at the Worldbank. We have a great fishing team, and when I purchased your reel I was so happy with it, and even one of my best buddies at the WB bought the same reel just recently but has not yet used it. He bought it locally from Egypt, but I bought mine from the US via Amazon.I am really so disappointed and frustrated! I purchased 2 reels at one time, thinking that your reel was great according to the reviews I have seen and the youtube videos, and the Amazon reviews, etc, but I am totally disappointed by all means. Let me sum up my review into specific points to make things clear for you:1. I am a professional angler (not a novice one). I have been fishing all my life in the red sea and else where. Mainly, I am a salt water angler. I have used all sorts of reels, from Shimano, Daiwa, to decent cheaper rate reels such as AJKing, and Penn reels.2. I have used both reels twice with my son who uses the other reel, once in January 2018 and couple of days ago.3. I usually wash my reels immediately after every fishing trip. I never use any detergents or the like, just a bit of warm water to get rid of the salt effect. I have been using a lot of reels and never ever did I see such wear and tear after only 2 times of using the reels, and amazingly this happens in both reels, so that means there is a manufacturer coating defect or simply the material used to build this reel is indeed very very bad. Please have a zoom and a closer look on the images of both reels, showing the terrible sign of wear and tear, only after the second use. It is as if you are peeling the coating very easily.4. The drag system is indeed terrible, and even worse than cheap reels! I thought this was a monster reel as shown in the promo videos and reviews, but it suffers with fish types that are even less than 3 or 4 Kgms! You can not really feel the drag as you tighten it, you feel as if you are turning a useless knob and you do not really get to hear the gears as you tighten the drag.I really have nothing further to say, except that I really regret purchasing 2 of this real at one time. I take excellent care of my gear and I feel proud of each rod, each reel, and I have some that lasted for 20 years! This real is a total disappointment, and I would indeed not recommend it at all for Salt water fishing. It is not meant at all for large fish or big game fishing.I do demand a total refund because what is announced has nothing to do with the real world application, only after 2 fishing trips.I shall not publish my review till you kindly get back to me with a reply to explain to you more if you so wish.Awaiting your reply ASAP.Sam RagabProfessional and Big Game Angler for 20 years.
