Perfect! Just what I was looking for!
I live in Miami, and Im outside all the time. Needed something to protect my neck and ears, and face if possible. I have all kinds of hats, and have been wearing one with the back flap on it. I still get sunburn with that hat on (material is thin, and the sun can still reflect or shine in from the sides and front). Going on a golf trip soon, and wanted better protection, and found Coolibar. This is the simple neck gaiter, which can be worn just around the neck like their picture show, or can be pulled up over the top of your head like the pic I attached here. I have a big head, and it pulls up fine, and is not constricting or uncomfortable. I can even pull the bottom part up over my face some. The material stays cool, and is thick enough to keep the sun from penetrating. I wore it golfing a couple days ago and it did fine, no issues with heat, sweat, or fit. Will buy another one so I can rotate and wash.

has potential, but please redesign with velcro?
This is a great product. Does just what it says on the tin. And when I climb into a broiling hot car in Texas and drive around without air conditioning, this fabric is breathable enough that it's not an extra burden.BUT. As other reviewers have said: you gotta really want it. Getting in and out of this thing is a CHORE, and I have some bad news if you had any illusions about your facial sunscreen/hairstyle/makeup still being in place after you work it on or off of you. (Also I have herniated discs in my cervical spine, so wrestling with this garment can be literally painful.)If they would design this with a soft flexible strip of velcro down one side so the on/off process would be *wrapping yourself in and out of this* instead of repeatedly smothering your face with a long fabric tube, LIFE WOULD BE SO GOOD.My only other quibble is that unless you're wearing a shirt collar that's very close to your neck, at the bottom this leaves exposed parts of your neck/shoulder where it splits at the sides. Which is perfectly logical; you can see the design in the product photos. I just didn't realize it would be an issue for me.Unlike some other reviewers this stayed up well enough for me. I have a pretty long and slender neck, went with the S/M, and am satisfied with the staying power; in my experience, it bunches up enough to hold itself up.In sum: good product, annoying design choices were made.

Too baggy but keeps the burning ball of death at bay
The gaiter its self works great. The problem is that is it too baggy and loose. If you let it sit around your neck it will sag down and result in a bout 3" of vertical coverage. Now if you pull it up over your head and put a hat on it works well. You just have your face sticking out. Makes you look a bit like E.T. but keeps the giant burning ball of hate and death at bay.I bought the large/XL, I'll try the M/S.

Like this overall
Like this overall, but concerned as well about one aspect of it. It was a bit tighter than expected, however, the very top of it is actually pretty open/flops down a bit, which is concerning b/c I expect that area to provide sun protection and it's not going to if it isn't covering that area of my neck. In other words, the top half of my neck is exposed to the sun/elements while the bottom half and décolletage/top of back is protected. I have not yet used this on a sunny day for a walk/outside (where I am it is cold/not sunny at the moment) but I am just speaking for it in terms of fit/overall. I like the fact that the color looks as described/as shown when I ordered it. I like the fact that it is fitted at least in part, on my neck, and that it offers more protection below the neck.

Wearing it often
This thing does a nice job of dealing with the gap between a collarless sailing shirt and where I can reliably cover myself with sunscreen, sort of like a floppy turtleneck. In Phoenix, the folds of fabric can amplify the heat, but it's worth it to keep the sunburn away. The fabric itself is soft and comfortable.

Love Coolibar, but...
I absolutely love Coolibar everything. This dickie, however is kind of uncomfortable as it has seems up both shoulder sides which are irritating to my neck. They probably needed to make it that way for the front and back flap but I'm not overly satisfied with this aspect. It's nice and tall and the flaps are a good size, however so I know I'll wear it often...

The fabric is very nice and soft but it has no "give" to it ...
It was too long and snug for my short 14 inch neck. The fabric is very nice and soft but it has no "give" to it in order to pull it over the head. So I decided to return it and wear a neck scarf whenever I drive during the day..

Great product
Best one out there... got a white one too.**UPDATE - My wife took my white one, so I had to get another back-up; went with the light blue. Got 3 now. The other nylon, too-tight, chokey kind of tubes with NO neck/back flaps cannot compare.
