Tena Proskin Incontinence Super Briefs, Adult Diapers, Super Absorbency, Bladder Leaks Control, Extra Large, 12 ct

I am a 78-year-old, semi-retired but still active man who has worn diapers 24/7 for incontinence for many years. I had been wearing a premium adult diaper costing nearly four times as much as these Tena ProSkin diapers. After five days wearing them, I can say that Tena ProSkin diapers' coverage (the size of the “diaper mat”) is better than I’ve found with some much higher cost premium diapers. Absorbency is much better than I expected. During the day, I will need to change every four to five hours, on average. A single diaper, so far, has been adequate for overnight use. Mild to moderate bowel incontinence has not overwhelmed the ProSkin diapers. These diapers feature a "cloth-like" outer shell which feels a bit flimsy on the sides. Sizing is what I expected, neither too big nor too small. The leg guards and elasticized leg openings are effective, but there is no elastic at all in the waistband. A plain cotton panty over the diaper and underneath plastic pants provides a snug, comfortable fit and added protection against leaks. I have found the wetness indicators on Tena Proskin diapers more useful than wetness indicators on other diapers. A line of yellow chevrons (I don't know what else to call them) turns blue as wetness spreads through the diaper. As I'm changing, a quick look at the number of chevrons remaining lets me know how close to "maxed out" the diaper was when I decided to change it. Tena ProSkin diapers do "wick" or spread the moisture throughout the diaper, as well as or better than any other diapers I've used. The one leak I have experienced so far (my own fault) was at the rear of the waistband, which was not completely covered by the plastic pants. Moisture had spread completely through the diaper. I had not noticed how much I was wetting and didn't change within a reasonable time. The diaper was not uncomfortable and the leak was minor. I began looking for a more effective diapering solution when I began to need three of the premium diapers per day instead of two. Replacing three premium diapers with six Tena Proskin saves $3.45 per day, which adds up to over $100.00 per month. On some days, five diaper changes are all I require. I had NOT been looking forward to switching to lower cost diapers. These were the third low-cost alternative to premium diapers I tried, and they were a happy surprise. Their performance and value has far exceeded my expectations. I don’t feel that I’ve “given up” anything by using Tena Proskins.

We just received our order via Amazon for the super pro skin large diapers. We are so thankful for the excellent product. These are excellent absorbency and width so less leaks! However, would it be possible to ship them in the future with just the Tena boxes? Ours came with the Tena box inside an even more enormous Amazon box, which is wasteful and unwieldy. I’m not sure who to inquire with but hoped to let you know to make it easier and more efficient for everyone!

These are less likely to leak than the pull-up style of diaper, as you can control the tension around the leg hole area. If I’m having a bad day with my alcoholism, these are the ones I prefer to wear as they are easy to change and VERY absorbent…I am oftentimes waking up to a full diaper, but I figure it’s been good for a couple of voids, compared to the pull-up style, where I can get away with one void, oftentimes with caveats. The fit is variable—you control the tightness—but I never find them uncomfortable. The adhesive tape can be a bit fiddly, particularly during installation, but once you’re in place, everything holds until you need to readjust. Once you’ve voided, you will experience bulkiness, so bear that in mind if you’re wearing in public…maybe experiment before going out so you know what you’re outfit choices can handle (don’t wear light colors or thinner fabrics…jeans tend to hide more). As for value for money—they get the job done and they are HSA eligible, so if you have good insurance, you won’t really notice the cost much, but they are definitely cheaper than another brand I’ve used, north shore. They’re great for a lazy day at home, running errands all over town, and overnight use. Just be aware of what you’re getting with any incontinence product.

Tena has been around forever. These diapers used to be a bit better than they make them now but at this price point, how could you really complain too much? They do their job if you keep their downfalls in mind. Performance: These diapers are by no means perfect. I like how discreet they are and they are pretty comfortable wearing out and about in public. You can wear them under almost anything. They aren't noisy and aren't hot. As far as absorption goes, the capacity isn't anything to write home about. It's definitely better than your average store bought diaper from a major retail chain. They do feel a bit wet when wet. The lack of leak guards is a pretty big downfall for these but you can tape them on tight around your legs. It still doesn't make up for the lack of them though. They tapes are refasten-able and you will probably have to adjust them at some point while wearing them if you plan on using these for extended use. The adhesive is a hook style fastener so not sticky tapes. The durability of these diapers aren't the best, but more so where the tapes fasten due to the hooks tugging at the cloth style backing. They don't rip easily per-say but you can tell they don't hold up extremely well. They are quite comfortable when active as they are breathable. The design is a Tena staple look and the wetness indicator works well. Sizing was fairly regular but maybe running a bit small. Shipping: Shipping was discreet and very fast as you can have them sent to and Amazon locker. No issues here. Conclusion: I don't 100% trust these as much as I would a premium plastic backed diaper but it is a different target market. It's hard to say if I'd buy these again. Not because they are that bad, but because I prefer a thicker, more premium diaper. If I was in a pinch I would most definitely grab these again without hesitation. Especially for day time use. There's something about these I really like for some reason and I just can pinpoint what it is. Either way you can't go wrong at this price.

Got these for my husband who is dealing with incontinence post prostate surgery. He also uses the pull up Depends underwear, but we were looking for a tab version so he could easily change while we were out without having to completely take his pants and shoes off. These don't cut it. In fact, though he doesn't have to take his pants and shoes off to put these on/off, it's even more of a nuisance because it takes 2 of us to manipulate this. He holds the front part up in place, then I lift the back part up while freeing up one waist tab in order to secure it in place. Once that first tab is in place, I secure the other waist tab, then move back and secure both leg tabs. There's no way a person could easily put one of these on themselves. The only way I can see this working, is if you are a caregiver to someone who is bed-bound and you have to put these on while they are laying down. In that case, you'd slip the back section under them, and proceed as you would to diaper an infant. For mobile, ambulatory adults, this just doesn't work. Husband is 5'11", 170 lbs and typically wears a 33-34 pant. I also don't know how to envision the body shape that these would work for, bc they are very oddly shaped. The section that goes between your legs is extremely wide - - - close to 9" wide - - - so unless you do nothing but lay flat on your back with your legs splayed out to the sides, that area between your legs gets squinched and hubby says it feels very awkward. The hip area is quite tight but the waist is huge and sits very high. In order to secure the bottom tabs, you need to pull quite tightly. But, there is so much excess at the waist, that you have to sort of roll the tops over to bring them to waist level and the tabs secure closer to your front area rather than on the sided. I guess the one biggest downfall of these, is that there is no elastic at the waist. It's our fault for not thinking this through, but this means that they don't pull down easily when hubby needs to use the bathroom. Hubby isn't bedridden or completely incontinent - - - he still goes to the bathroom like usual but is wearing Depends b/c he has leaking issues. The only way to take these off, is to undo the tabs. Once you undo a tab though, it doesn't quite adhere as well when you re-attach it again. We're still thinking through ways to use these that makes sense. We'll figure something out and use up the pack we ordered, but will definitely not be ordering these again.

Works very well and more absorbent than I expected. Doesnt leak even though there are no leak guards. Tapes are alright. It’s not very bulky and discreet. It also doesn’t irritate skin at all.

I'm an incontinent woman and was looking to try out some lower end diapers with a cloth back for summer. I guess these are ok. I'm thoughly confused why we can't get the European version of Tena diapers in the states. It's really one of the best mid range diapers available, but I guess we only get the crappy version here. Pros - Really good price. Especially given how expensive high end diapers have gotten the past year. It's getting hard to stomach $3/diaper for something like a megamax. - Decent absorbancy. Last 3-4 hours which is what I'd expect. - Super thin, perfect for times when I want to dress in tighter clothing for special occasions. Cons - Marketing. Tena, not all diaper dependant adults are geriatric boomers. Sure would be nice to see some marketing that includes young people like me. I've been in diapers since my late teens Tena. - Like all cloth style diapers they instantly sag off me. A pair of lose boyshort panties is a must when using these diapers. - The padding just falls apart when it's reaching capacity. - Definitely nowhere near an overnight diaper. - No leak guards. How is it in 2023 you're still making diapers without leak guards. European tenas have them. - Runs small compared with other diapers. Overall these will have a place in my diaper rotation. I just wish they were a step up like the European version. Even though this claims to be a new design, this is basically a lower end absorbancy version of what used to be the super plus. Tena US, you can do better and should be ashamed at what you provide to the us market.

Great absorbency with no leaks, even overnight. Comfortable fit, soft on the skin, and excellent odor control. Very dependable, highly recommend!

Sizing is a little to the small side -- if you are within a couple of inches of the larger measurement, size up. The quality is excellent, and this is the style and brand used in the hospitals locally as well. For the people who are saying these are not briefs -- that is not the case. This product of protective underwear IS called briefs. Do not confuse it with how you might reference regular underclothing. If you are looking for the non-brief (i. e. non-tabbed or non-child-diaper style) incontinence garment, search for and find products that are referred to as "underwear" or as "pull-up" style. "Briefs" is the correct term for this type of medical grade product and its intended use. Some of the regular style also use the word "briefs" but you should always presume that "briefs" when referencing this type of item means something that an aide will put on a patient, not an item that a person will put on unaided.

The product is good. It is a repeat order. Delivery was not made. I was informed that carrier cannot deliver to the address?? I have frequent deliveries from Amazon to this address.

According to the size chart I’m supposed to be able to use a medium but that’s not the case. Ordered a large and it fits well the medium would definitely be two small. Very absorbing comfortable to wear with minor urination with heavy urination dose sage but that’s a lot of liquid sagging can be expected. Very quite no plastic crinkle sounds with is a big bonus when trying not to be noticed.
