This stuff is good in almost any dish. Makes a fine soup base, enhances gravy, add it directly to your hamburger meat when making pattys. It's just savory red gold.

This is a wonderful product to have on hand. I have been a customer of Harmony House for over 5 years now & I have never been disappointed in one of their products. I have been using this all natural concentrated tomato powder for over a year now. Not only does it make fantastic sauces but you can also utilize it to make very rich tasting tomato soups. I have also made a seasoning blend out of it with garlic flakes & parmesan--fantastic over pizza, pasta, popcorn etc. I have added it to cream cheese as well as some other spices to make a spread. The possibilities are endless. And it will keep for well over year if you keep the top tightly closed & in a cool, dry area.

I have learned to ALWAYS keep this on hand. It takes up so much less room than bulky cans of tomato paste, sauce, or juice, and imparts a wonderful, rich tomato flavor to whatever you add it to. I add it directly to soups and stews with plenty of liquid already in them, or mix up some paste or sauce for a wonderful spaghetti sauce or dip for cheese bread. It keeps well, sealed in the jar. It does eventually cake up a bit, after a few months, but giving it a good shake loosens it back up fairly well or just dissolving a chunk in hot water works too. I keep other Harmony House foods on hand too, but this one is a MUST HAVE for me.

I purchased this product for one particular purpose, which worked very well. However, I am finding it useful in a variety of ways in cooking. That purpose is a smooth (pureed) vegetable soup. A quarter cup of this powder delivers a portion of the tomato for the big batch recipe with ease. That recipe produces 6 quarts, so it takes more than a day to assemble. While making the batch in which I tested this product, I wanted a quick meal & thought grilled cheese & tomato soup. For an tasty tomato soup prepared in the time it takes to boil water: 2 tablespoons of tomato powder, 1/2 teaspoon each of granulated onion, garlic, dried oregano & basil, plus black pepper to taste in large mug. Add 8 oz boiling water. Stir, let stand about 3 minutes. I have also used it as a seasoning element in preparing other rcipes - sprinkle a couple teaspoons into ground meat that is being browned, or work 1 tablespoon into a pound of ground beef with other seasonings to your taste before making burgers. Whisked into mayo with a bit of granualted onion &/or garlic or herbs of choice - terrific sandwich spread. Also, a tablespoon of tomato powder and granulated garlic to taste in 1/2 Pound of butter yields a spread for the best garlic bread ever. I have also taken to throwing a tablespoon or two to a batch of cheddar biscuits for a delicious bread to serve with soups and stews. Very tasty, very handy. If only it were a bit less pricey.

Very happy to have gambled and tried Tomato Powder. Very tomato taste that is Rich. Must have been a good growing season for sweet tomatoes! Hopefully they remain consistent as I plan to buy more for later. Making my own instant soups to avoid unpronounceable ingredients that often are toxic or cancerous. Adding dried: onions/mushrooms/heavy cream/butter/organic cornstarch and some spices like garlic & onion powder, thyme, Seafood Magic seasoning, HimalayanSalt & black pepper, and package up for 2-4 servings that I only have to add boiling water. But one could use this tomato powder to anything needing more tomato flavor. Make a packet of dried items in a baggie to add to a beer for a nice Red Beer on the go. Or at home when want one serving of Vodka for a Bloody Mary, adding Celery salt and some Worcestershire sauce and drops of hot sauce without having to open a huge mix that goes to waste. My son doesn't like chunks of tomatoes in food so this serves for all the flavor and color but chunk less, when I don't want to have to open a can to purรฉe to use. Means less dirty appliances to wash up. One must keep in mind that every growing season will not produce the exact same tasting crop. One could easily adjust level of savory with herbs or garlic or needing more sweetness add a bit of dried honey powder. I did exactly that when making a Seafood Tomato Bisque with dried shrimp & dried mock crab. Yummy! My problem is these concoctions smell so good when packaging up, I want to try them all right then! Thanks Harmony for doing all the work of bringing whole tomatoes down to a powder so that I did not have to! Highly Recommend...and I received no free nor discounted product for this review. ;>)
