I love Lynn Painter and the way she builds all the characters to seem so real. I absolutely ADORED Better Than The Movies, but although the second one wasn't quite as good, it was still well written and had an amazing happy ending. I was slightly disappointed because the first book was so amazing, but it was still a very enjoyable read.

I read Better Than The Movies a few years ago & became obsessed with Wes & Liz and it was so bittersweet when I finished cause I wanted more of their love story. I’m so happy I finally got around to reading Nothing Like The Movies because it was everything I hoped for and more. This was definitely more heartbreaking than the first but it shows how strong their love is for each other. I also highly recommend the audiobook! So so good!

The dual narration by Charlie Bushnell and Jesse Vilinsky was absolutely fantastic. Having both perspectives brought so much depth to the story, making it feel even more immersive. Bushnell captured Wes’s determination and regret so well, while Vilinsky perfectly portrayed Liz’s heartbreak and hesitant hope. Their performances added an extra layer of emotion, making the highs even sweeter and the lows even more gut-wrenching. Overall, Nothing Like the Movies was an emotional yet satisfying follow-up. While it hurt to see Wes and Liz go through so much, it made their love story feel even more real. If you loved Better Than the Movies, this sequel is a must-listen—just be prepared for all the feels!

LOVE THIS SOOOOOO MUCH i wrote a review for the first book but omg this one is just as good. There is some suspense which i loved and a slow burn back to eachother omg i recommend to everyone. This is a 2 book series and it is amazing, im a teenage girl that has never really liked reading but i would read these books a million times.
