Beefy blade...
This is a solidly built, heavy, piece of D2 steel. It's made with a 'Partial' tang... it's ONLY downside. But you're not breaking it without serious abuse. It's a beautiful knife to hold as well as appearance. For under $45 it's a steal. It's a quality knife. The leather sheath is very well made also. (Mine looks darker because I oiled it.) I feel I can safely recommend it.I bought it because it is large - 8" blade. This serves only one purpose for me, and that is defensive, as I solo hike and kayak in the Green Swamp. I wanted something that can go deep on alligators, black bears, panthers, and the one that actually scares me, the over abundance of big boars. This'll do it.
