Perfect!!
Having used the same product from another popular UK supplier 4 times without any colour to my temple greys I had thought I was one of the unlucky gals for whom this just had no effect on. I left this to dye release for roughly 10 hours with tepid/warm water and 1 tbs of fresh lemon juice. Left on my dry hair for 4 hours expecting no colour change to white hairs. Well, i was delighted to find they had turned a beautiful gold/blond colour. No colour change to the rest of my mid brown hair, but that's what I wanted. I have already ordered more from this seller and will continue as long as the quality is good. The only downside is that when left for a long time on the scalp it (for me) makes my head VERY itchy. A bit of a swine to wash out but i did a coconut oil treatment the next day for a few hours and then washed with soapnut liquid. Could not be happier, hair feels clean, thick and looks lovely :)The seller was also quick to send out my goods and they arrived just a few days after purchasing.UPDATE: 18.11.15. I have learned that dye release time is unneccesary and lemon juice makes no difference, I have also cut back to 3 hrs on hair as opposed to 4 and still all good(and less itch). If I have any left over I freeze it and add it to my next batch once defrosted. Love it! :)

Ordered Cassia Obovata from Renaissance Henna. The article was promptly delivered and marked as containing pure Cassia --as one would expect--, except I realised too late, after leaving the so-called cassia paste on my hair for 3 hours and having rinsed it out, that this stuff was actually pure HENNA . I am now trying to get rid of the bright orange hair colour with a honey/lemon/bicarbonate of soda paste, but it's going to be hard work lifting all that horrid henna off my hair.Still, right after I reported the issue to the Renaissance Henna team, they were quick in responding, apologising and reimbursing, which made my [on-going] ordeal a bit more bearable I suppose.. One of the tips they gave me to make the henna fade, was to apply tomato juice --haven't tried that one out yet

Excellent hair mask
After reading some reviews, I was hoping it will temporary color my white hair into a golden shade. It didn't happened. But as a hair mask I would recommend it. I mixed it with some nurturing oils (jojoba, castor, coconut, avocado) with a drop of honey, and my hair and scalp was really happy after an hour treatment only. I won't give up trying. I will give it a go again for an overnight mask, and I shall come back with the results.

Not for me
I've never used cassia before but i heard it was good for toning white/grey hairs to a soft yellow colour. I've now tried it several times and i really couldn't see a difference, apart from my scalp. That went yellow! It came off with some scrubbing though.I mixed it as directed. The next time i left out the oil incase that was preventing it working: still nothing.I wont buy it again as it didn't tone my hair plus it didn't seem to add any goodness to it.This obviously is my personal experience; it doesn't mean it is rubbish.

Back to nature
I had my hair highlighted and coloured at a hair dressers after using Henna for many years. I succumb to pressure of other peoples' opinions as my hair was getting greyer and the ends were getting darker with the accumulation of brown henna colour. I hated the feel of my hair after the chemicals & the grey started to grow through within a week and a half so I'm back to using natures colour again. This colour turns my grey hair blond and looks like natural highlights and has got it back in better condition. As my hair grows so quickly, I can use this every couple of weeks and it is so much cheaper than the hairdressers. I soak it overnight with lemon juice and warm in a pan before I put on for 3 hours, covered in cling film and a towel.

From gray to gold
This is the best hair color that I have used - very obviously a fresh quality product. Tried another brand cassia obovata while waiting for it to come back in stock and was disappointed. The top of my hair is light gray and underneath I have dark blond to gray hair. The result was amazing with gold on top and honey underneath, so natural-looking!My paste contains a lot of lemon juice and sweet almond oil. I let it stand overnight and add hot water just before use. I let my hairdresser apply it to clean damp hair. Then I sit 30 minutes or so under the hair-dryer (the old-fashioned kind that goes down around your head). After that washing with shampoo and blow-drying. Voila!
